Even independent dogs who are used to staying alone a few hours a day can get super clingy during a transition and that’s okay

These two are holding me hostage today😂
I’ve come to Pune with them and they know something’s different about this- we packed big bags and there was a lot of movement before travel..

They feel uncertain here and they feel like i may abandon them, regardless of having told them a million times that they’re my babies and I’m always going to be with them..

I went for a 30 min walk along this morning AFTER having exercised and fed them, during their sleep time and Amani wailed throughout 😢

Instead of immediately running to ‘correct’ behaviour, I’ll continue giving them reassurance and let them be clingy till they get comfortable in their new space.

Dogs can show a range of new behaviours during transitional periods like being more clingy, chewing to soothe themselves, becoming aloof, becoming protective of their humans, pulling more on walks..

Give them time and reassurance, that’s the only correction they need🙃

🎉 One year ago Mishka found us and brightened our lives with her smile and her sass🎉

To the breeder who abandoned this gem- you have no idea what you lost out on. Mishka brought so much joy and prosperity in our lives just by existing🥹🥹🥹

Doll came in all stressed and anxious and was breathing heavy for two whole months. She would not leave our side for half a second out of fear that we will leave her😢

But as time passed she realised we aren’t going anywhere and that she can reign over us and the home and she started doing just that. She developed an attitude, started exploring the world without the fear of being abandoned because we will go find her no matter where she’s hiding and eating garbage🙄

Forever grateful and still amazed at how we found each other😇

Last week my mum help me set up the temple in my home and I finally got to put my dogs there- Joe, Joanna & Lily aka Satan!
They’re my Laxmi, Saraswati and Mahakali🥹
To me my dogs are my Gods, the reason i want to be a better person everyday and the reason I wake up happy every morning☺️

I lost all three babies between 2023-2024 and it was the worse loss of my life! But i do know they’re around and they’re always protecting and guiding me.. and now I light a Diya for them everyday along with all the other Gods 🙂

Got this rascal home one year ago!🥰
The only being who can infuriate me to the end of the world and still make me love and serve her like she’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me😝 and honestly, she IS one of the best things that’s ever happened to me❤️

It’s extremely heartbreaking to watch puppies and dogs be abused in the name of training

I wonder why would anyone want to hit dogs and scare them into submission when there is a much easier and happier method in place

I did some research and here are some reasons trainers seem to hit dogs during training

1) They want to provide quick results/ the family wants quick results
2) Lack of better knowledge
3) Offering cheaper services to get more work

When the situation is so bad, the responsibility to choose and moniter your dogs trainer regularly and observer your dog around their trainer falls on the dogs family

Please invest sometime to ensure your dogs safety and that they are learning happily🙏🏻
