Stop what you're doing and watch this li'l bundle of happyness!!!
When your dog is so well trained that she lets go of an extremely high value treat (beef bones) when you ask her to and does not touch it till you permit her. Training done right.
P.S. I have worked on her food guarding since she was a puppy, and this is the result today!
Nimbu and Mirchi have had a pretty free rein when it comes to climbing on furniture. They sleep on our bed and none of us really mind it.
Why? Because they get off when we tell them to.
However, we thought it would be nice to have them used to a certain place in the house. And to this effect, I started training Mirchi to sit on a specific doormat. I plan on replacing them with cotton stuffed mattresses.
This is Mirchi, all.of 1.5 years, learning the Place command for the first time...And today was the first session...
Montu was a 4-month-old German Shepherd with amazing energy. He lives in a farmhouse where he has his own shed and a huge bowl of water that he loves stepping in whenever he fancies a drink. Every time he was let out of the shed, he would bolt and run amok. Putting him on a leash was a challenge, and walking him on one was a bigger challenge, considering his handler was a 75-year-old. But, after a couple of corrective sessions, this is how he was on a leash - calm and composed!
If your dog is not walking calmly on a leash, get in touch with us!
Oreo, an amazing dog with a weird walk, was an extreme puller. She would start pulling on her leash the moment she stepped off the elevator and was extremely distracted. One session of loose leash walking, and this was the progress!
Here is Mirchi heeling on command...we are just on the first step, and have a long way to go...
P.S. I am the one training her...
