All Creatures Animal Clinic was started in 1982, by Dr.K.B.P.Raghavender soon after completing his graduation. In the last 32 years, Dr.Raghavender dedicatedly worked towards the upliftment of the clinic and All Creatues Animal Clinic is now the leading pet clinic in the city and Dr.Raghavender is considered one of the best in the state.
32 years down the lane, he is now assisted by his daughter, Dr.Sneha and son-in-law Dr.Rohit.

We all love our pets and want to feed them whenever they are around, but there are some ingredients that are harmful for them and therefore should not be fed to them:

Food to Avoid for pets : 🐾Onion & Garlic

🐾Reason :
Contain Thiosulphate - which cats and dogs can’t digest.

🐾Causes :
Red blood cells rupture

🐾Time :
Small quantities for a long time have the same effect as large quantities at once. Therefore, we should be more careful of what our pets eat and what goes in them.

🐾Symptoms :

Weakness, vomiting, diarrhoea, increased heart rate, bluish gums, collapse

🐾Quantity:
Even the smallest quantity - as much as 15-30g/kg will have the same effect.

🐾Cotton
🐾Saline Water
🐾Bandage tape
🐾Gauze :
For general cleaning, dressings, prepping, packing and debriding wounds. It can also be used as a temporary absorbent dressing over wounds.
🐾Antibiotic spray:
To treat minor skin infections or minor cuts caused by small cuts or scrapes.
🐾Hydrogen Peroxide:
For Disinfecting the wounds.
🐾Cold pack:
For relief in the wounded area.
🐾Vaccination , medical records:
Helps in immediate reference of your pets medical history, for the vet to have a look at.
🐾Emergency contact number and Vet Number:
This is essential! An emergency number to contact will always be helpful for your vet!

Although pet grooming can feel tiresome and like a chore, we are here to help you!
We are sharing some basics of grooming techniques, which will help your pets hygiene.

🐾Brush teeth
A very important yet often overlooked step of grooming. Brushing your pet’s teeth is always important.
And it should be done, for minimum thrice a week. In order to eliminate harmful bacteria.

🐾Brush Hair
Shedding breeds need serious care. And brushing their hair and maintaining them at ideal length is always helpful.
This should be done twice a day.

🐾Bathe your pet
As pets mostly spend their time outdoors, it is important to clean them. You should bathe your pet once every 15 day.
Unless your vet advises you otherwise.

🐾Trim Nails
This is to avoid any unwanted dust getting collected in their nails. It is advised to cut their nails once you find them touching the ground or once every month.

🐾Clean Ears
Cleaning ears, also is a hygiene check and if not done regularly can cause serious issues. Contact your vet for regular check ups.

Injuries are quite common in pets but these can be quite traumatizing to both pet parents and pets. We wanted to share a similar case where our vets did a great job handling the injured pets and helped them fight the pain and come out brave!

🐕A 1 year old pug was attacked by a dog, and in thar fight, the young pug's eye got severely injured. The right eye popped out of the socket. In medical terms, this condition is called Proptosis.The pain is unbearable. Imagine the fear and the trauma when the parents had to rush their pet to the vet.

🐾It was important to stabilize him when he was brought to the clinic. Post stabilizing him, our vets rushed him to OT.

🐈After tedious medical treatment, this is how the pug looks post surgery. Our brave boy was treated carefully. And this is his photo post 12 days from the treatment. And there’s still a long way to go!

Crackers can impact animals in a way you cannot just imagine. Some of them also experience first to third degree burns. These can be very painful. Burns should be treated immediately. Here are some first aid steps to treat them.

📢Cool the burnt area with cool water or saline water

Here’s how you can make your Diwali pet friendly?

📢Avoid chaining your pets outside your house
We know that this is the time they get anxious and crackers and pollution can be uncomfortable and dangerous for them. Avoid chaining them outside, especially today.
📢Stop using Crackers and have a green Diwali
This is the best way to make sure they have a happy Diwali, go green and celebrate with diyas and lights
📢Close the doors and windows and keep the curtains on
Due to the high tension atmosphere outside, it is best to keep them inside and close the doors to decrease the noise and make sure you keep your curtains on
📢Play music or run television to keep your dogs distracted from loud noises
Distraction is always good. Anything to cancel out the noise - Music/television etc.
📢Make their bed extra cozy to avoid noise
Secure their resting area with extra cozy pillows and toys. Give them a sound sleep.
📢Avoid feedings sweets to your pets
All the sweets we receive during this festival, let’s not feed them to our pets. It can be dangerous and cause discomfort
📢Be extra kind to your pets by staying with them
If your locality is prone to burn crackers, make sure you spend this night with them. Your presence might ease the anxiety
📢Keep a check on their feed
All the inconvenience might cause them to ignore the food. Make sure you feed them proper amounts of feed.

🐾When sniper arrived home, his parents were above themselves with joy.
But unfortunately one day, Sniper stopped walking, and could not even lift his head up. He came to us with hope in his eyes.
Few tests later - which all turned out inconclusive- we started TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) for Sniper.
Until the 4th day, sniper showed no improvement. We were all disappointed and hoping he would show some sign of responding to treatment..
And then, on the 5th day, Sniper began standing and taking small steps...
What a Happy Diwali for Sniper, his family and us!!! :)

Sonu a 1 year old male Doberman, suddenly began vomiting; he refused to eat food, and his condition began worsening. His parents brought Sonu to All Creatures Animal Clinic, where an x-ray report revealed something obstructing the intestines. A pair of socks, over a dozen rubber bands, itsy-bitsy pieces of plastic and other waste—were the objects found stuck in his ileum and jejunum. It took 3 vets, and 5 hours of back breaking surgical procedure to remove all the trash. A foot and half long part of his intestine had to be cut and removed.The remaining parts had to be rejoined. A total of 26 items were removed from his intestine. Sonu had food for the first time in the last 10 days, the day after his surgery. The Pet parents were finally happy to see Sonu's condition improve.

Part 3: She was discharged after 10 days of treatment. The pet parents were finally happy to reunite with their li'l one.🙏

Part 2 : She was severely injured in her abdomen.A team of surgeons at All Creatures Animal Clinic have operated the kitten after stabilizing her condition.👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️

🐈Here's the story of this adopted kitten who was viciously attacked by stray dogs while she went out for a stroll in the evening. The pet owners came running to the hospital while they saw their kitten in an injured state. They were really scared and worried about their one month old kitten.😢
