A delegation of HPVOA met Deputy Chief Minister Sh Mukesh Agnihotri at Palampur and submitted a memorandum regarding restoration of ACPS for Veterinary Officers .The delegation stated before the honorable Deputy Chief Minister that veterinary officers stay at one post for more than 20 years together on one post and except for annual increment do not get any other financial and promotional benefits .Therefore ,restoration of ACPS is the only promotional avenue available to Veterinary Officers in their career .The honorable minister assured to take up the matter with the government and support the demand at the highest level .HPVOA expresses it's gratitude to the Honorable Deputy CM for giving time to the association and supporting the long pending demand of ACPS restoration for veterinary officers

*Request for Reconsideration of the Decision to Discontinue ACPS and NPA for Veterinary Officers in Himachal Pradesh*
A deligation at Rampur meets Hon’ble Chairman of 7th Finance Commission Sh. Nand Lal Ji .

The Himachal Pradesh Veterinary Officers Association has expressed deep concern over the State Government’s decision in 2022 to discontinue the Assured Career Progression Scheme (ACPS) and Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) for Veterinary Officers.

In this regard, a delegation led by Dr. Anil Sharma, Veterinary Officer, Duttnagar, met Shri Nand Lal Ji, Hon’ble MLA and Chairman, 7th Finance Commission, Government of Himachal Pradesh. The delegation also included Dr. Chhavi, Dr. Arvind, Dr. Harish, and other veterinary officers. Dr. Anil Sharma presented the issue in detail, highlighting the adverse impact of the decision on the veterinary fraternity. The Hon’ble Chairman assured the delegation that the matter would be placed before the Government for appropriate consideration.

The discontinuation of ACPS and NPA has resulted in significant financial loss and career stagnation for Veterinary Officers serving under challenging conditions across the state. Veterinary Officers play a vital role in safeguarding livestock health, controlling animal diseases, and strengthening the rural economy. However, the withdrawal of these benefits has negatively affected their morale, motivation, and financial security.

Through the Association’s President Dr. Rajnish, Vice President Dr. Hitesh Jaswal, and General Secretary Dr. Tarun Thakur, the Association has earnestly requested the State Government to review and reconsider this decision in the larger interest of the veterinary community.

The restoration of the ACPS and NPA would not only address the existing financial disparities but also significantly enhance the morale of Veterinary Officers, enabling them to continue serving the livestock sector with greater dedication, commitment, and professionalism.

The Association sincerely hopes that the Government will take an early and positive decision on this important matter.

The newly elected HPVOA members met the Honorable Minister of Animal Husbandry Prof. Chander Kumar ji under the Leadership of Dr Rajnish Bharol, President; Dr Sushma Rana Senior Vice President , Dr. Preeti Rana,Joint Secretary and Dr Abhay Verma District secretary Kangra at his residence, Jwali.

The association had a detailed deliberation regarding restoration of ACPS and submitted the memorandum .

Honorable minister assured the formation of committee as promised in the general house on analogy of DoH&FW. He also took up the matter of VH infrastructure with the authorities and assured release of funds and timely completion of civil work.
The minister assured to have a formal meeting with all the members shortly at Shimla to look at other demands.
