आज दिनांक 13/08/2023 रविवार को ह्यूमेन पीपल संस्था तथा पशुपालन विभाग के साझा प्रयासों से रामपुर बुशहर के चौधरी अड्डा पी डब्लू डी पार्क में 42 कुत्तों को सात बीमारियों से बचाव हेतु टीकाकरण किया गया। कैंप में रामपुर बुशहर के नजदीकी क्षेत्र खनेरी, रचोली, खोपड़ी तथा मुख्य रामपुर बाजार से भी लोगों से अपने कुत्तों को टीकाकरण हेतु लाया था।
शिविर में संस्था के उप प्रधान अनिल मॉक्टा जी, सचिव अभिषेक महाजन, कोषाध्यक्ष शीतल शर्मा तथा स्वयं सेवी दीपाली एवम रजत नेगी ने पूरा योगदान दिया।
पशु पालन विभाग से पशु चिकित्सा अधिकारी ऐवम प्रभारी रामपुर डॉ अनिल शर्मा , तथा पशु औषधियोजक रामपुर श्री करण गुप्ता जी ने मुख्य भूमिका निभाई।
डॉ अनिल शर्मा ने बताया कि कुत्तों में इस टीकाकरण का बहुत ज्यादा महत्व है, इस टीकाकरण से रेबीज , कैनाइन डिस्टेंपर तथा कैनाइन पर्वो वायरल डायरिया जैसी घातक बीमारियों से अपने कुत्तों को बचाया जा सकता है।
रामपुर में रेबीज़ तथा कैनाइन डिस्टेंपर के मामले बड़ने के मद्दे नजर ही ये टीकाकरण शिविर रामपुर में लगाया गया। संस्था के सचिव अभिषेख महाजन ने बताया कि भविष्य में भी रामपुर के आसपास के इलाकों में इस तरह के शिविर ह्यूमेन पीपल संस्था द्वारा लगाए जायेंगे ।

*ह्यूमेन पीपल संस्था रामपुर बुशहर की मुख्य कार्यकारिणी का हुआ गठन: एकता धीमन को चुना अध्यक्षा*
आज दिनाँक 26/03/2023 रविवार को ह्यूमेन पीपल संस्था रामपुर बुशहर द्वारा सामान्य बैठक करवायी गई। बैठक हाइब्रिड मोड में हुई , संस्था के बीस सदस्य होटेल सतलुज व्यू में एकत्रित हुए , तथा अन्य बारह सदस्य गूगल मीट के माध्यम से जुड़े। संस्था के सुचारू रूप से संचालन हेतु नयी कार्यकारिणी का गठन किया गया । बैठक में निर्णय लिया गया कि संस्था की नयी अध्य्क्षा सुश्री एकता धीमान होगी, उप-प्रधान श्री अनिल मोक्ता जी तथा मनमोहन मेहता होंगे। सचिव के रूप में श्री अभिषिक महाजन कार्य करेंगे , और कोषाध्यक्ष सुश्री शीतल शर्मा होंगी। संयुक्त सचिव सिद्धार्थ शर्मा और साहिल अबरौल होंगे। मीडिया प्रभारी तथा प्रेस सचिव के पद पर श्री करण शर्मा जी का चयन हुआ। ट्रांसपोर्ट सेक्रेटरी का पदभार श्री काकू मोकटा जी सम्भालेंगे।
साथ ही रीजनल एक्ज़िक्यूटिव्स का भी चयन किया गया जिसमें शिल्पा कौशल को झकड़ी की क्षेत्रीय अध्यक्षा तथा दीपाली मेहता को सचिव चुना गया। सोलन क्षेत्र के लिए रजत नेगी को क्षेत्रीय अध्यक्ष तथा प्रियम फ़नयान को सचिव चुना गया।
तन्मय शर्मा जी तथा बबीता धीमन जी को संयुक्त रूप से निदेशक चुना गया।
डॉ अनिल शर्मा को तकनीकी निदेशक तथा मुख्य कार्यकारी बनने के लिए अनुरोध किया गया।
बैठक में नगर परिषद रामपुर से राजेश जी उपस्थित रहे। सभा में संयुक्त रूप से काम करने पर भी चर्चा की गई , जिसके लिये उपमंडलाधिकारी रामपुर से शीघ्र ही एक बैठक करने का फ़ैसला किया गया।
नगर परिषद से आये श्री राजेश जी ने भी डॉग शेल्टर हेतु भूमि चयनित करने के कार्य को परिषद की सभा में रखने की बात कही। सभा में एनिमल बर्थ कंट्रोल सेंटर बनाने की माँग पर भी चर्चा हुई।
सभा में श्री ज्योति लाल , अध्यक्ष रक्त दान सेवा परिवार भी मुख्य रूप से मौजूद रहे तथा उन्हें संस्था का सलाहकार चुना गया।

Mass dog vaccination drive continues ,
Vaccinated 47 dogs in Sholi and Chakti regions in Taluka-Nankhari.
Recently an incidence of rabies was encountered under GP Sholi , so we took this prompt action in this hot spot with collaboration of Department of Animal Husbandry.
Volunteer with us so that we may collectively bring change in the society.

(BE CAREFUL WITH ADVICE, ESPECIALLY IF IT IS *NOT* PUT ON PAPER)

Hi good people! I have been helping strays with direct guidance from PFA member and when I was asked to put together items of medical kit to help animals, I was specifically informed about "IVERMECTIN" — A schedule drug and Hepatotoxin, which should not be used without a licensed and reputed vet's guidance. Such medical guidance should be in written if such a drug is prescribed, otherwise it will only be drug abuse which is a criminal offence.

If your vet has physically examined your dog, it is best to follow your vet's advice. However, the vet cannot fully take into account a stray dogs' age, medical conditions, body weight etc, which is required for the purpose of prescribing a controlled dose, to be given along with liver protection.

In case of a wounded dog whose injury could easily heal with ANTIBIOTIC, however, a vet had *indirectly* advised NEOMAC. I preferred to discuss it with PFA staff.

If a streetie dies of toxic shock when we give a dose like that mindlessly for 5-7 days, who'd be responsible? Vet must be able to justify why he's prescribing Ivermectin and without proof, we know how things are.

This is what Sampriti Datta from PFA, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Noida had to tell me :

"I've seen dogs go into convulsions and toxic shock due to ivermectin and it's overdose. It's a schedule drug. It's only in India with zero pharma control that it's even available over counter. It is a very dangerous drug.

Only in RAREST OF RARE CASES, we use it is WHEN WE KNOW WE MAY NEVER SEE THE DOG AGAIN AND HE'S RUNNING AROUND WITH A BAD WOUND THAT MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE MAGGOTS.
And even then we always use Liv 52 tab with it. Cuz ivermectin dries it right out. 2 doses does what 5/7 day antibiotics would do.

So needless to say the strength of the drug is highly abused.

In fact drug abuse is a criminal offense which if reported will land us in serious trouble. That too being given without veterinary supervision.

WHERE IT IS PRESCRIBED FOR SKIN INFECTIONS :

Skin infections are controlled by invermectin, true. but it's given as per body weight, age and medical condition of dog. (Online medical advice can't take this into consideration). Not given to young old pregnant or lactating mothers in any case. And a liver protection is always given alongside.

HOW TO CLEAN MAGGOT WOUND:
Maggot wounds on flesh can be treated by washing with diluted hydrogen peroxide (it burns a bit) and betadine/just betadine for streeties and liberally dusting negashunt powder.

If this cannot be done, spray option is HEALOKIND. IT DOESN'T STING OR BURN but requires repeated application as maggots infest wounds in layers in tunnel like holes. As dead maggots keep falling out, you can spray every few hours to completely finish them off

Upon discretion, you may use DMAG/TOPICURE. (Though commonly used in practice, I personally don't use/recommend. These do sting and burn. If you find healokind, nothing like it)

DEEP INTERNAL MAGGOT INFESTATION REQUIRING IVERMECTIN:
Only a deep internal maggot infestation, eg, inside a**s, inside mouth (happens in cases) may require oral ivermectin dosage, THAT TOO IN CONTROLLED DOSES. Wounds will have to be flushed and cleaned in any case.

Team Humane People all the way from Rampur to Shimla . On 8th Feb we covered almost 50 dogs while comming from Rampur .
On 9th Feb with collaborative efforts of Department of Animal Husbandry, SPCA Shimla and MC we vaccinated 103 dogs in a single day .
