About the Persian
As the dusty desert caravans wound their way westward from Persia and Iran, it is supposed that secreted among the rare spices and jewels on the basket-laden camels was an even more precious cargo, an occasional longhair cat. They were called Persian for their “country of origin,” but hieroglyphic references as early as 1684 B.C. shroud forever their exact beginnings. Persians, with their luxurious coats and open pansy-like faces are the number one breed in popularity. Their sweet, gentle, personalities blend into most households once they feel secure in their new environment. Creatures of habit, they are most at home in an atmosphere of security and serenity, but with love and reassurance, can easily adapt to the most boisterous of households. Their quiet, melodious voices are pleasant and non-abrasive. They communicate delightfully with their large expressive eyes and make charming pets for all ages. Persians have short heavilyboned legs to support their broad, short bodies. They like to have their feet firmly planted and are not given to high jumping and climbing. Playful but never demanding, they love to pose and will drape themselves in a favorite window or chair, enhancing the decor in much the same way as a treasured painting. Persians are tremendously responsive and become a constant source of joy and delight to their owners. Pleasurable as an unexpected sunbeam, their companionship is close and enduring.Their long flowing coats require an indoor, protected environment. Proper maintenance requires a daily run-through with a metal comb to eliminate the potential drawbacks of tangles and hairballs. An occasional bath, attempted only after a complete comb-through and clipping of the nail tips, will keep the coat clean, healthy and beautiful. It is wise to establish the routine of the bath when they are young. While the white Persian has long been the darling of photographers and advertisers, Persians come in an astonishing number of colors, which are divided into seven color divisions for purposes of competition

Chloe Chung's love and devotion for animals started years ago with her interest in showing dogs began with Faye Mui – her first Pembroke Welsh Corgi in 1993. In the pursuit of this passion, she became an all breed groomer, began exhibiting and breeding British Shorthair in 2002. She achieved a National Win with her own breeding British Shorthair in 2007 who was 8th Best Cat, Best of breed nationally and also best Cat in Asia Division. She has also exhibited American Shorthair, American Curl, Colorpoint Shorthair, Exotic Shorthair, Maine C**n, Persian, Russian Blue and Sphynx.

- Mr. Bobby Wankhede is a professional groomer based from Mumbai.
- Mr. Bobby was born with pets around at home and he is a animal lover.
- He steped into petting cats approximately 10yrs ago, while 7yrs ago he started Capricorn Pet Shop, Salon and Spa in Bandra West, Mumbai.
- Initially he started as a dog groomer but today he is one of very few groomers who specialize cat grooming in the country and as per his experience in the past 2yrs he had to put down dog grooming because he is full with cat grooming appointments and he is the only cat grooming instructor in the country upto date instructing upon basic cat grooming and show maintaince.
- He has been a member of the National Cat Groomers Institute of America.
- He joined the Cat Fanciers alliance of India (CFAI) which is the only CFA member club in india.
- He held various grooming workshop under the club one of which was in Thane, Mumbai to educate breeders, hobbyist, veterinarians and cat enthusiasts on cat grooming, clearing myths and diffrence in cat and dog grooming.
- He was also invited as an instructor in India's biggest pet convention held under the banner of CFAI in kolhapur with over 250 people attending where he instructed feline basic grooming and maintaince.
- He joined Feline Club of India (FCI) India's only and largest car registry from the beginning.
- Mr. Wankhede held a feline grooming workshop in Kolhapur, Kolkata, etc under the banner of FCI instructing basic feline grooming and show maintenance and cat care.
- He is also making and effort to raise cat keeping standards in India by instructing pet salons and petspa's in India so that they could be efficient enough to groom cats as there are no cat grooming schools in India.
- Mr. Wankhede is also a show groomer being a breeder and exibitor of persians, exotic shorthairs and Maine C**ns.
