It is a pleasure to watch these baby greens grow. Pak choi or Bok choy, commonly known as Chinese cabbage, ranks sixth on the Aggregate Nutrient Density Index (ANDI) for fruits and vegetables!

Just sit back and marvel at them.

A shoutout to all planeteers!

I, Azu, as my friends call me, am an engineer turned urban-farmer. Let me tell you the story of how that happened to be.

What started off as an intrigue and turned to an interest, is now a full-time profession. Harbouring an immense love towards food, both cooking and consuming, I stumbled upon microgreens on the internet one lazy afternoon in the Mumbai and it didn’t take long for me to decide that I’ve got to try growing them on my own. Since then, the past two months have passed like a breeze with me growing the greens and finding out ways to use them in our own, desi recipes. Soon my friend Soham jumped on my bandwagon and thus we doubled up on our powers.

Tiny but mighty, these miniature versions of regular vegetables and herbs, are four times more nutritious than their fully-grown counterparts. They are highly rich in vitamin-C, vitamin-K and vitamin-E, and also packed with carotenoids and anti-oxidants. What this means that these little soldiers help fight weight loss, boost energy levels, regulate blood pressure, prevent anaemia and improve bone strength. Touted as the food of the future, these could be among the first food to be grown in space in the not so distant future.

Currently used in menus across the world in fine-dine restaurants, it is our aim to bring microgreens to everyone’s platter because we believe that there should be nothing one cannot eat!
