Sunday morning, up with the lark...today was no walk, in the park. A day overflowing with outpatients. With patients, having names ,like Jimmy, Brownie, Vaishala and more.
A check up on a tumor, confirmed , the cancer. Chemotherapy immediately started.
Two others with the Paro.
Flu and a virus growth in the eyes.
The pups, were in for their check up and shots.
Owners with their pets, waiting, some rather anxious.

Leslie, the Warrior, started the Arunachala Animal Sanctuary and Rescue Shelter about 19 years back.
Here is a story about a Rescue by Leslie.
Got an 11am call from the Forest Department. A peacock about 4 kms out in a field alongside their office had a bad dogbite on its back and couldn't fly. Dharma and Prem went. He was in pain, but he knew they were there to help and they were able to just pick him up. Dr. Raja treated him. He cleaned the wound. Gave him 6 stitches, and several injections with painkiller, anti-biotics, and anti-rabies...He was put in the big cage. Mani and Supervisor Raja cared for him during the day; Arunagiri at night. He bonded with all three. We kept him 6 days until he was able to fly. We called the Forest Department. They were there when we released him. He was very happy to be free...Om Namah Shivaya Although Leslie, is unable to move around as he was accustomed to, he holds the pulse and every heart beat of the shelter.
His love , compassion and kindness is unparalleled. We at the shelter laud him.
