Palash farm house is named after the Palash tree that grows naturally in the Aravalli mountains and blooms with a beautiful orange flowers (also called Flame of Forest) during March-April after shedding all its leaves. It is an ode to the owner’s vision of preserving the natural beauty of the place and minimizing human footprint to the environment. Surrounded with Aravalli mountains on all sides, Palash is situated on the banks of the lake Madar, which was constructed by Maharajah to provide water source for neighboring villages. With its resident crocodiles and stock of fishes such as Rohu and Katla, the lake is an ideal place for Angling. There is a beautiful 10KM trail that goes around the lake.The Farmhouse itself is around 3,300 sq-ft of constructed area and situated on a 3 acre of land which is primarily used for Organic farming. There are over 200 fruit trees of multiple varieties such as Mango, Chikoo, Guava, Orange, Grape Fruit, Figs, Pomegranate, Mulberry, Papaya, Banana, Baer, Sitafal, Jamun, etc. Seasonal vegetables are grown at the organic vegetable farm and same is cooked for the guests. There is a dedicated area for raising farm animals like indigenous chicken and rabbits, along with doves, parrots and love birds. Around 1 km walking trail within the property allows guest to explore the property and take in the sounds and smell of a working farm teeming with birds and butterflies.
