Aalak was a brave dog who went through immense pain. He was paralyzed, and maggots had eaten into his legs.
When Rajni ji and Pooja ji saw him in that condition, they immediately called Varanasi for Animals. Our team reached the spot and rescued Aalak.

He was treated with love and care. His wounds healed, but he still couldn’t stand. Every time he tried to walk, he would fall.
But Aalak didn’t give up — and one day, he surprised everyone. He stood up and started walking on his own.

They say love has power, and Aalak proved it true.
Today, he is completely healthy and full of life.

A special thanks to Help Animals India, whose constant support makes it possible for Varanasi for Animals to reach, rescue, and heal dogs like Aalak. Their love and kindness give hope to so many voiceless souls.

Bhonu’s Journey from Pain to Peace ❤️

Bhonu, a gentle male dog, had been silently fighting a painful cancer on his face for a long time. His condition grew worse each day, and even breathing had become difficult for him. Yet, there was no help in sight.

Then came a kind-hearted woman — Vibhuti, who had been taking care of Bhonu with love and compassion. She refused to give up on him and reached out to Varanasi for Animals (VFA) for help. The VFA team immediately stepped in and, with the support of Help Animals India, arranged chemotherapy treatment right at his place so he could recover peacefully.

It was not an easy journey. There were days when Bhonu struggled to breathe and seemed to lose all hope. But with care, patience, and love, he kept fighting — and he won.

✨ Today, Bhonu is healthy, happy, and full of life again! His bright eyes and wagging tail tell the story of courage, love, and second chances.

A heartfelt thank you to Help Animals India for their constant support and compassion, and to everyone who believes that every life deserves love and care. 🐾💛

For the past 13 years, the VFA team has been organizing an annual animal welfare camp in Sarnath—working tirelessly for catching, feeding, sterilization surgeries, vaccinations, awareness in schools & communities, and safe release.

On the ground, we are blessed with the dedicated support of Pyare Lal ji and local volunteers Mentok who help us every step of the way. Behind the scenes, this mission is made possible through the kind and generous support of and , whose faith in our work keeps this camp alive year after year. 🙏🐾

Every surgery, every recovery, and every wagging tail is proof that compassion changes lives. But this journey needs more hands and hearts. 💙

This is the story of Bhaira, a gentle dog from Ramnagar. One day, he suffered a terrible spinal injury—perhaps even a cruel attack—that left him in unbearable pain. Bhaira stopped walking, stopped eating, and his life was slowly fading away.

At that critical moment, volunteer Bushra ji noticed his suffering and immediately informed the VFA team. Without wasting a moment, Bhaira was rescued and given urgent medical treatment. Day by day, his condition began to improve. Soon, he was able to walk again, started eating with joy, and today he is completely healthy—living a safe and happy life with Bushra ji by his side. 🐾❤️

This recovery was only possible because of the compassion of people who chose to act. We extend our deepest gratitude to Help Animals India and to all the generous donors who make such rescues possible. Every contribution saves a life—just like it saved Bhaira’s. Together, we can bring hope, healing, and happiness to many more animals in need.

🐾 Kali’s Story of Hope

Kali was just a 3-month-old street puppy living in the Golgadda area. One day, out of innocence, she accidentally wandered into someone’s house. Instead of kindness, she was beaten badly. Kali’s condition became so critical that she could not even stand or walk.

At that time, VFA volunteers Trisha and Anshika immediately rushed her to the VFA shelter. She was treated with love and care. Although her wounds started to heal, Kali still could not get up or walk. Everyone feared she might never recover.

But Kali is a true fighter. With patience, medical care, and her own determination, she slowly stood up again. Today, she not only walks but lives happily, bringing joy to everyone around her.

We are deeply grateful to kind-hearted people like Trisha and Anshika, who remind us that saving a life is greater than taking one.

To those who hurt animals, we want to say: every animal feels pain just like us. A small act of cruelty can break their body, but a small act of kindness can save their life. Let us choose compassion over cruelty, because kindness always returns to us.

Thanks to the support of Help Animals India, such rescues and treatments are possible. Every donation, big or small, gives dogs like Kali a chance at life.

The Sarnath CHAMP project has now begun — bringing together dog catching, sterilization, anti-rabies vaccination, and awareness programs under one mission. With the dedicated efforts of the VFA team, and the kind support of Help Animals India and Fondation Brigitte Bardot, Sarnath is witnessing a true movement for both animal welfare and public safety.

Every day, our team works on multiple levels:
• Catching & Sterilization: Dogs are safely and humanely caught, sterilized, and given proper post-care to control the population in a compassionate way.
• Anti-Rabies Vaccination: Hundreds of dogs are vaccinated, creating a protective shield for both animals and people.
• School Awareness: Children are taught that dogs are our friends, that rabies is preventable, and that kindness is the strongest cure against fear.
• Community Involvement: Local residents are actively participating, guiding the team to dogs in their neighborhoods, spreading awareness, and ensuring the success of the campaign.

This project is not only about preventing rabies, but also about creating a long-term, humane solution through sterilization, vaccination, and education. The energy and unity of the VFA team, the support of our international partners, and the cooperation of the community are making Sarnath a model of compassion and responsibility.

In Sarnath, our VFA team is creating awareness among school children about rabies and animal welfare. Children are innocent, and many of them don’t know the dangers of rabies or the importance of treating animals with love. Through these awareness sessions, we teach them that dogs are our friends, not something to fear. With the kind support of Help Animals India, this mission is reaching schools in Sarnath, inspiring young minds to grow with compassion and responsibility.

From today, the Annual Sarnath Animal Welfare Camp has officially begun! 🐾✨
The VFA team is working tirelessly in the villages of Sarnath, carrying out dog vaccinations, anti-rabies awareness, and sterilization programs, while also spreading awareness among local communities.

Dogs are our true friends, and we are grateful to have the support of our dedicated volunteers in this mission. A special mention to Pyarelal ji, who, as always, stood with us and extended his constant support.

This work would not be possible without the incredible support of Fondation Brigitte Bardot and Help Animals India, whose generosity makes such initiatives possible. 🙏

Moti, a street dog, suffered a cruel act when someone tied a rubber band tightly around his jaw. The band cut deep into his skin, leaving half of his jaw badly injured. Terrified and in pain, Moti kept running away from everyone.

Thankfully, his friend Arjun informed Varanasi for Animals (VFA), and the team immediately rescued him. The tight rubber band was carefully removed and his treatment was started. At that time, Moti couldn’t even eat properly.

With love and medical care, Moti slowly recovered. Today, he is safe, eating and drinking well, neutered, and also vaccinated against rabies. The happiest moment was when Moti met his friend again—he was truly joyful and full of life. 🐾❤️
