Your Body Language speaks louder than words.

The messages we send through non-verbal body language tells a more authentic story about our thoughts and feelings, than the words we speak.

To have an effective communication it is not what you say and how you say that matters the most, it is how you also appear through you body language - Your eye contact, smile, facial expression, gestures and postures that communicates the most.

Did you know that arms crossed like the one in the first picture comes across as defensive or resistant to what other person is saying. For most of us it is a comforting posture, but it may also come across as insecure, anxious or stressed.

Instead adapt a pleasant posture to make sure you do not contradict yourself.

Currently reading ‘Atomic Habits’ by Mr. James Clear.
30 minutes of reading time is what I dedicate in a day for my books, journals or articles that interests me. It gives me bandwidth to read about 20 pages without interruption. This habit was not easy to inculcate and I realised that these four step pattern - Cue, Craving, Response and Reward is what is the backbone to develop a HABIT as Mr. James has clearly defined in this powerful book.

Did you know that 73% of population fear Public Speaking more than anything in life.

As an individual leaning towards being an introvert, public speaking was something I dreaded the most during my corporate days as I moved towards leadership position and was something that I avoided most of the time. As I got into this profession of coaching and consulting, I realize how important this skill is for each one of us during our personal and professional journey. To put across your thoughts, to lead, to influence and to gain credibility, this skill is so important to basically show up in front of people and express your thoughts and ideas. Public speaking helps you gain visibility and create your own Personal Brand.

I have come a long way in this area and there is more to learn each day....But all I tell myself is that I am getting better each day and I will continue to do so with every opportunity that unfolds.

Invest time for your growth and self-improvement as you make a mark for yourself ,learn new skills, in the long term it pays off beautifully.
