The cats Ge&Te joined the team last May when they were only a few weeks old. At the time Lilibet had her first puppies and nursing them. She welcomed Ge&Te and nursed them for 2 weeks… Fast forward 7 months, their bond is still strong that gives us so much joy 🤩

There’s something to be said for the winter months in Tuscany, too…

Think hearty soups like ribollita (stale bread and veggies that are double-boiled, double-cooked, and double-flavoured); acquacotta maremmana (vegetable soup); and la farinata di cavolo nero (kale and polenta soup). Dishes such as trippa (tripe), fegatini (liver paté) and fagioli (vegetable pasta soup) are hearty and rich. Winter is also wild game season, making it the perfect time to enjoy pappardelle al cinghiale (wild boar).

Magic Year After Year!
These beauties are on their way to the mill. Soon olives are going to be tipped into vast vats where they were washed before being crushed under slowly turning stone wheels, which produced a paste which was then pressed to extract the precious oil.
