Il nostro lavoro di consulenza consiste nel formare il personale aziendale con metodi semplici e soprattutto pratici alla corretta potatura dei vari sistemi di allevamento della vite. Il nostro approccio prevede il trasferimento del know-how al personale attraverso dei corsi teorici e pratici cui seguono dei controlli continui della qualità del lavoro svolto durante la potatura secca (fase invernale) e la potatura verde (fase primaverile).

Old Vines Corkscrew Pruning at Cave Marie-Thérèse Chappaz
The oldest vines at the domain are actually Marsanne grapes, brought back from Tain-L’Hermitage in France by Marie-Thérèse’s great-uncle, and planted in 1924, just after the phylloxera epidemic. The locals dubbed the grape “Ermitage” after its place of origin. The corkscrew pruning method is typical to the Valais region and is well adapted to Marsanne and Gamay, but not to Pinot Noir.

Vineyard check-up with Simonit&Sirch: the first sequence shows the presence of live wood associated with good pruning practice. The final sequence, on the other hand, shows the generation of dead wood, associated with bad pruning practice, which has permanently compromised the vine's health.

3D2Cut: AI for pruning by Simonit&Sirch
Since 2019, we have been developing an AI device with the aim of providing pruners with a tool that can help them work better, with more confidence, and ensure pruning quality.
We founded a start-up and we have created a prototype with AR glasses that can recognise all the details of the plant and determine how to prune: 3D2cut will present its first product at the SITEVI fair in Montpellier. Stand B043 - Hall A2

Come and discover AMPELOS, the vine pruning training simulator by Programme VINUM , resulting from the collaboration between SIMONIT&SIRCH, Studio Nyx , Hennessy and the CEA-List team.
Candidate for the SITEVI Innovation Award 2023- Stand A6A020 - Montpellier.
AMPELOS allows each apprentice to familiarise themselves with their future working environment in a completely new way. Equipped with a helmet and two joysticks, its digital avatar learns the movements and postures of pruning at its own pace, using virtual scissors.
In an environment protected by climatic and seasonal constraints, he is confronted with different use cases as the simulator presents different types of vines. The 3D rendering of shapes, textures and colours is extremely realistic: these indicators are essential to know where and when to cut. The working environment is enriched by theoretical capsules showing short explanatory videos.
This digital project is the result of collaboration between Studio Nyx, specialising in the development of video games and virtual reality simulators, SIMONIT&SIRCH, Hennessy and the CEA-List team, specialising in intelligent digital systems. Not forgetting the inspiring involvement of teachers and teaching teams from the Agricultural Technical Education sector and university research teams.

Un manuale rivolto agli operatori e soprattutto agli studenti di tutti gli istituti tecnici agrari e i licei agricoli e viticoli francesi. Il direttore Jean-Luc Berger ci ha chiesto di scrivere interamente l'ottavo capitolo dedicato alla potatura della vite: abbiamo scritto 90 pagine dedicate a tutta quella che è la potatura SIMONIT&SIRCH. Gli autori che hanno collaborato e scritto sono: Carole Dumont, Massimo Giudici, Michael Resseguier, Laurence Gény dell’ISVV di Bordeaux, Alain Deloire dell'Università di Montpellier, Anne Pellegrino e Marco Simonit.
