Danko, a 40-kilo 10 year-old dog, had severe osteoarthritis in both hips and his right knee.
When we first visited Danko, he was reluctant to walk due to pain, and he didn’t respond to standard therapy.
Danko has been treated with ozone therapy and acupuncture every three weeks for three treatments.
After that, his quality of life has improved a lot.

The acupuncture technique "Circle the Dragon" is an effective treatment for all non-healing wounds.
In TCVM, chronic, non-healing wounds are often caused by an underlying Qi Deficiency. When Qi is deficient, the tissue regeneration of skin is insufficient. In addition to Qi Deficiency, Excess patterns, including Heat Toxin (inflammatory or infectious wounds) or Qi-Blood Stagnation (swelling and painful wounds), are often concurrent.
The technique consists of circling the wound with needles (depending on the animal size, you can use between 4 and 8 needles) to improve the skin's elasticity and promote rejuvenation.
For more than one year, Sofia had a chronic, alopecic, erythematosus wound on her carpal area with skin thickening due to continuous licking.
The conventional treatments didn't seem to fix the lesion, so the Sofia vet decided to try alternative therapy before resorting to surgery.
On the 15th of December, we started treating Sofia with the Balance Method to solve the underlying Spleen Qi Deficiency (we used Tai/yin+Yang/ming) and the technique "Circle the Dragon" around the wound with laser therapy.
The treatment was performed three times every two or three weeks, and the outcome was excellent.

Zoe is a greyhound who, after a scaling surgery, started crying and panting ,unable to lie down. She seemed to be full of pain.
The owners brought her to the veterinary hospital, where RMI andy TAC were performed. The scans exhibited lumbosacral stenosis, with L7-S1 disc protrusion, indirect signs of chronic instability, and multiple focal myopathy.
The therapy with NSAID and gabapentin didn’t help her, and not even replacing the fans with cortisone was successful.
Zoe’s condition, after more than a month, seemed hopeless, so the owners decided to change the therapeutic approach, looking for alternative medicine.
When I first saw Zoe, I couldn’t touch her without her crying. Despite this, we initially started treating her with acupuncture and laser therapy. Finally, she could relax! Subsequently, we continued with electroacupuncture once a week and Chinese herbs.
Zoe is still improving; she can move without crying and is slowly returning to her everyday life.#chiuniversity#TCVM#pain#chineseveterinarymedicine
