Purtroppo, per motivi famigliari e personali, la cattery ArsAmandi cessa la sua attività. Stiamo attivamente cercando famiglie selezionate per alcuni degli adulti dell'allevamento, che verranno ceduti sterilizzati, vaccinati e microchippati. Se interessati, inviate un messaggio privato. Astenersi perditempo. I pre-requisiti sono la disponibilità a mettere in sicurezza balconi, finestre e giardini. I miei Blu di Russia sono tutti INDOOR. Grazie.

CFA Supports Continuing Feline Health Education

Last weekend EveryCat held a Feline Health Symposium at the University of Florida in Gainesville, of which CFA was a contributing sponsor. While there were several talks, covering a multitude of topics, one of the main focuses of the symposium were changes in the management and treatment of FIP.

Dr. Niels Pederson, BS; DVM; Ph.D, delivered the keynote address discussing the changes in antiviral FIP therapy in the last five years. This included updated information on the current state of two potential FIP antiviral drugs in testing.

Another talk, including Dr. Wendy Novicoff, Dr. Sarah Jones, Peter Cohen, founder of ZenByCat (zenbycat.org), and Robin Kintz, one of the founders of FIP Warriors, discussed difficulties cat owners were often having in accessing potential treatment options due to the current state of antivirals. This discussion covered the contents of a paper by Dr. Novicoff and Dr. Jones, wherein cat owners were treating FIP at home with one of the antivirals currently in trial.
