2-3 weeks ago we had the great pleasure of having the children of the "Tata Mary" summer camp meet our Reate and Paradis, as ambassadors of the "Maremma and the Abruzzes Sheeepdog" breed.
Even today, in fact, white shepherds are considered aggressive and potentially dangerous dogs.
Fortunately, Reate and Paradis demonstrated to the children how far this is from the truth; so much so that, at the end of the meeting, the two Maremmas were literally swamped by the little ones competing to pet them.
Even a little girl terrified of dogs managed to conquer her fear and pet the sweet Paradis, first on the back and then on the head. She was simply extraordinary: as if sensing the little girl's anxiety, she stood in front of her and stretched her head toward her, closing her eyes and holding them tight until the little girl found the courage to pet her.
The little girl walked away almost in disbelief of her experience! 🥰
2 - 3 settimane faabbiamo avuto il grande piacere di far incontrare ai bambini del centro estivo "Tata Mary" i nostri Reate and Paradis, in qualità di ambasciatori della razza "Cane da Pastore Maremmano Abruzzese".
Ancora oggi, infatti, i bianchi pastori sono considerati cani aggressivi e potenzialmente pericolosi.
Fortunatamente Reate e Paradis hanno dimostrato ai bambini quanto questo sia lontano dalla verità; tanto che, alla fine dell'incontro, i due maremmani sono stati letteralmente sommersi dai piccoli che facevano a gara per accarezzarli.
Persino una bambina terrorizzata dai cani è riuscita a vincere la sua paura e ad accarezzare, dapprima sulla schiena e poi sulla testa, la dolcissima Paradis. Che è stata semplicemente straordinaria: come se avesse percepito l'ansia della bambina, le si è messa di fronte e a allungato la testa verso di lei chiudendo gli occhi e tenendoli stretti fintanto che la bimba ha trovato il coraggio di accarezzarla.
La bimba si è allontanata quasi incredula della sua esperienza! 🥰
