2024… where do I start. The best year of my life, and the most difficult too!
I can’t even begin to describe how grateful I am for all the opportunities this year. Touring the U.K. with my dear friend Karen and our wee doggos… thousands of miles, venues and memories made with my biggest supporter, counsellor, picker-upper and celebrator. Who trusts me to train her horses, believes in me and believes me when I tell her she can do the scary things too! She gives me the opportunity to ride and train her beautiful ponies with her and take them into these huge showing classes really believing in us day in day out. What an honour 🥹♥️
This year I have ridden my first Grand Prix on a wee spotty pony I home produced (I have attached the picture, still makes me cry! 🥹), ridden in my first Supreme.. and then Ultimate Supreme Gala Evenings at TOYS where Venus and I had a panel of judges to impress and took Supreme Part Bred Champion, Supreme Ridden Champion & Ultimate Supreme Champion supported by all the Jersey team! (what an atmosphere, what a night!), ridden in our first Grand Prix championships & gala nights at Hartpury & arena U.K., got a couple of mentions in Horse & Hound .. and showing live! Competed in various HOYS & Quest qualifiers just to mentioned a few! Oh.. And backed my wee Patrick pony too! (who is enjoying his Christmas hols at the moment!)
I have also been lucky enough to watch my friends and clients compete and train their beautiful ponies and achieve goals big and small both in Jersey and the U.K. I am so invested in every journey and share every win, and every knock but the feeling of pride watching them have the confidence to show the love & partnerships they have with their ponies.. even when it’s scary, is a feeling like no other 🥹
I am starting to get super excited for the 2025 season with more dreams to chase! My lovely Husband still continues to support me (mostly with a smile 🫣😂) as i live out my childhood dreams out week in and out with my friends. This year he has started his own business, survived a huge unexpected heart attack, and still not lost his sense of humour! He has been a real trooper & inspiration this year. And it has given all of our little a community a reminder to live every day and never forget to tell people how you feel ♥️
Early next year I am in a position to take on a few more clients for schooling or teaching. I pride myself in being invested in the journey, and being able to help build confidence at any level to achieve even the wildest dreams! If you think I can help please do pop me a message! 🥰
A huge huge thank you to the Barettes and Home Farm, for allowing me to base my perfect little life at your home and supporting me every day and to my sponsors Sue Carson Saddles, Equidance & Island Equine Vets ♥️
2025… we are coming for you!!! 😍😍😍
