Posting this here for those of you with families (young and old), the HSBA Garden Railway is hosting the final summer Open Day of 2024 tomorrow. Fortunately for them, the weather is going to be significantly better than it is today.

Something a little different from the Home Farm team. Next week (July 27th), there is a Garden Railway Open Day in St. Mary. It's a minature world with 138m / 455ft of track meandering around the garden, through tunnels and over bridges. There is a collection of snacks and a scavenger hunt through the little details of the layout.

This is a post I still cannot believe I am writing
Home Farm Team have had a devastating loss of our great work colleague, friend and most importantly an incredible member of our Home Farm Family
Edward passed away unexpectedly on Thursday evening.
We are all still in great shock
All the people who knew Edward, knew he was a big gentle giant of a man, he was always happy and smiling, always there to help and nothing was too much trouble for Edward.
He started working at Home Farm over 17 years ago where he helped more so with the cows but then moved to the contracting, he loved driving his tractor, whether he was ploughing, carting slurry, doing deliveries,always helping us with all our show preparations and he always did it with a smile on his face.
We used to laugh and say he is like our very own Incredible Hulk.
The word missed is totally inadequate for the huge void he has left on the farm.
We send all our love, support and thoughts to Edward’s family at this terrible time and know as a community we will do everything to help them through the loss of this wonderful gentleman.
So please bear with our boys and our team as this is a really difficult time for us all.
Tomorrow is never promised
