Curios cows 🐂🐂🐂 and colourful clothing🌈 added some more fun to a windy, wet and grey day yesterday.
But wind and rain 💨💦 wasn't what bothered the dogs and made us change our route, that was down to something else that comes with this season... can anyone guess what it might have been? 🤔

He is joining me and my trusty duo some afternoons, and together we'll explore the big scary place that is little old Jersey... For him lots of things, and especially other dogs, are overwhelming and he blows up so building trust and taking it slowly whilst gradually challenging him is on the cards.

Please be careful in St Aubin's Bay

We are currently advising, as a precaution, against swimming in the sea in St Aubin’s Bay. The discharge from the Sewage Treatment Works is not at its normal quality.

Although not necessarily dangerous to swim in the area, we cannot guarantee that there is not an increased risk, so whilst we await sea sample results, we ask that you please don’t swim in the Bay.

We’re aware of the Jersey Triathlon scheduled for this weekend and are in touch with the organisers.

Anyone who has been swimming in the area and starts to feel unwell or has health concerns should speak to their doctor. The Environmental and Consumer Protection switchboard is also open for public health advice each weekday on 01534 445 808.

As some of you know, my trusty little right hand girl hurt her back over a week ago 🤕, and has only walked for about an hour and a half in total since which is a sure sign of her not being well. Whilst her back is slowly healing now she seems to have picked up a cough 🤒. So another trip, or at least a phone call, to the vet's is on the cards for the morning and it will be a while yet until she can come out on Social Walks and lessons in order to help other dogs.

I very rarely let the dogs in my care greet other dogs whilst they're on their leads. Today was one of those rare exceptions because this little chap, even though keen to introduce himself to the gang, was very polite and calm about it.

We had some great walks during throughout the weekend just gone. The dogs are really getting the hang of coexisting peacefully and calmly, I am very proud of them all! 😊

Enjoying the beach off-lead in the day time before restrictions come into place on Sunday.

Please be responsible and stay away. This seal needs to rest rather than get disturbed by people or dogs!

The Greve seal is back and the beach is now closed again.
Sorry for any inconvenience, but the more rest he can have the quicker he can muster up the energy to move on. Every disturbance is delaying the process of him being well enough to move on.
He is flat today compared to Saturday morning when he was quite perky after a long undisturbed day on the sand Friday , just what he needed.
Since then he has not really had a good stint of rest between different bays. He returned late yesterday.
We have had a couple of dog incidents today hence this updated message. Please please don’t bring dogs down here, even the barking spooks him. Let’s just give him some time.
Absolutely no feeding, he is eating small amounts between swims and his p**p has been checked by the vet 💩 He is a wild animal and must not be fed by humans.
It’s important the message is clear, we have just 2 options with an animal this size. Monitor and keep him and everyone safe to give him the best chance, or euthanasia. We are trying so hard to keep him safe.
Thanks again for your understanding and cooperation whether you are a local resident, a boat owner, cafe owner, or just love coming to Greve.

Those are his tracks after a dog got at him, he has hugged the sea since and is on high alert, so different to Friday 😔

RAT POISON near RAILWAY WALK. Please be warned; one of our clients has made us aware that there has been rat poison placed at the bottom of the railway walk (St Aubins end) behind the bins on the right. Please keep an eye out for any further evidence of it, and make sure you stop your dog eating anything suspicious. Please give us a call if you have any concerns regarding this. The parish hall has been notified.
