We are a small kennel situated in Jamaica. We breed and train the Dutch/Mechelse Herder for security, personal and property protection purposes. Our goal is to produce quality dogs with the right drives and balance of character to serve and protect. We have traveled all over the world and researched extensively to find top quality bloodlines to use in our program. We do not breed for the sake of b
reeding. Many factors are considered such as the ancestor in pedigrees, drives and characteristics etc. These are vital for any successful breeding programming as genetics are passed on every generation. Jamaica K9 Elite focuses on breeding the correct balance. Please note that every breeding shall vary depending on the purpose of each mating. Other important factors to consider in the success of working dog is the raising and training. Genetics determine much of the dogs character and traits. We go as far as to say that 60% of the dogs abilities are because of genetics. However, the correct training and upbringing is what helps bring out the full potential of a pup/dog. Therefore they both go hand in hand. Occasionally we have friends from all over the world come and assess and assist in breeding, training, raising etc. These people have years of experience with dogs used for military, police, security companies and personal protection. At Jamaica K9 Elite, we concentrate on quality over quantity. With that said, we only have 1-2 litters a year.
