House of Tengo Our little corner of Kajulu. Farm. Produce. Community Engagement. We receive no funding from any donors. We are solely self-funded.

We are a small locally run Non- Governmental, Community Organisation in Kenya with an aim of investing in the health, education and well-being of the Community in Kisumu County. We aim to do this through various vocational projects, partnering with local organisations and and community groups to help achieve the above aims. We don't accept monetary donations but instead accept donations in form of time, expertise, knowledge, materials and resources. You can learn more about some of our below.

Children should not be serving the needs of a parent. When a child feels responsible for adult things, it can be damaging to their long-term emotional health. ⁣

It often causes them to shift into an adult state and robs them of their childhood. ⁣
⁣
Let's encourage children to be children. It is not their responsibility to provide emotional support or to meet the needs of a parent or any adult. ⁣
⁣
They can be helpful, sure, with child appropriate things, but they shouldn't be mini parents.⁣

In all parts of the world, women face significant barriers in securing land rights, which limits their ability to thrive and prosper. And when land becomes degraded and water is scarce, women are often the worst affected.

On Saturday’s World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought, is calling for greater investments to ensure women and girls are at the forefront of global land restoration and drought resilience efforts.
