Canola meal is widely used in diets for dairy and beef cattle. It is considered a premium ingredient for both dairy and beef animals as well as small ruminants due to the exceptionally high quality of protein to support milk production and growth. However, it is limited to poultry and swine at their early age since canola has more fibre to protein, which may be difficult to digest.
