Jipgoche had a very rough start in life. She was a tried and true fighter and champion who beat all odds! But honestly, we wondered if she would ever be adopted. So many people come to adopt saying, "I want something fluffy, or white, or pretty." Some of our most amazing animals are overlooked because they don't fit the "looks" category, and it is heartbreaking.
Oh, how we wish people came to the shelter and asked, "Who is the sweetest? Who is the friendliest? Who has been here the longest? Who has suffered the most?" The day Jipgoche was adopted was the day a mother brought her son to the shelter to choose a kitten. Leave it to a child to show us the way of true unselfish love! This little boy and Jipgoche instantly had a connection. He knew this kitten had chosen him, and he had chosen her! Looks were not a factor; love and connection were what mattered to this amazing boy. His mama was shocked, but she fully supported his decision. Since that day, they have been the most amazing adopters!

💔 Our hearts shattered when Fluffy was returned to us after three months! As a kitten, he struggled in the shelter, unable to gain weight and facing bullying from other cats. When he was finally chosen by what seemed the perfect adopter, we celebrated.
But after only three months, the family claimed their lives were too busy for him. This action is unacceptable and incredibly traumatic for any animal to leave its safe home and be brought back to a shelter.

⛔️💙Meet Cooper, a very sweet senior street dog who was occasionally fed by a local shop owner during his rounds. One day, when Cooper showed up, he had a massive lump on his shoulder. Concerned, the shop owner called for help. We got him into the shelter and discovered he had a massive hematoma—a pocket of blood likely caused by trauma, indicating he was probably struck or hit by someone. Cooper has now recovered, but this incident highlights yet another instance of animal cruelty. In Kenya, animal cruelty is illegal and against the law! 📛Rescued from an abandoned tenancy, these 16 beautiful cats and kittens are in need of caring homes. The elderly couple, returning to Kenya after 40 years in the UK, found themselves with these 16 cats and kittens after their tenant moved out, leaving the cats behind. Unfortunately, serious health issues prevent the couple from keeping the cats.

🐾 🚨Successful Rescue Mission! 🚨 A free-roaming cat accidentally fell down an apartment building's ventilation shaft. Caring neighbors were able to squeeze food and water through the ventilation for two weeks to keep the cat alive. Once they contacted KSPCA we were able to mobilise at rescue effort.
🔍 Our dedicated investigation team, with the expertise of climber Sylvester, made a safe and successful rescue for the trapped cat!!! Heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in this commendable effort and rescue! 🙌
