For its use as a remedy for coccidiosis disease in young chickens:

Coccidiosis is a parasitic disease caused by protozoa of the genus Eimeria, which affects the intestinal tract of chickens. While activated bamboo charcoal dust is not a proven treatment for coccidiosis, some farmers may use it as part of a holistic approach to managing the disease. The charcoal's ability to absorb toxins and improve digestive health could potentially help alleviate symptoms and support chickens' recovery.

However, it's essential to note that charcoal dust when incorporated on chicken feed can prevent protozoan parasites from the genus Eimeria which causes coccidiosis but treatment after contracting the disease by itself may not be sufficient to treat coccidiosis. Affected chickens may require specific medications prescribed by a veterinarian. Additionally, proper hygiene, sanitation, proper coop management practices, including regular cleaning, ventilation and biosecurity measures are crucial for preventing and managing coccidiosis outbreaks in chicken flocks.

Diatomaceous earth, or DE, is a white, porous powder that is simply the crushed fossilized remains of diatoms (phytoplankton). Over time, these fossilized remains build up into large deposits that are then mined from bodies of water.
Diatomaceous earth can be organic and is listed with the Organic Minerals Research Institute, a non-profit organization that reviews products for organic standards.

~ Diatomaceous earth uses a physical mode of action to kill insects, and for this reason it needs to come in contact with the insect to work. In Chickens Diatomaceous earth is known to effectively inhibit pest like mites, safari ants and fleas in your chickens. It's spread in and around the chicken coop or at their sand bath or ash bath zones.

To get rid of intestinal parasite e.g round worm, hook Worms and tape Worms in Chickens and other livestock you need to weigh the feed and add 2% of that weight in Diatomaceous Earth. Continuous feeding daily can be very beneficial but we do recommend feeding Diatomaceous Earth for at least 6 weeks for Worms and Parasites. Also DE is also a highly reliable supplement for calcium, magnesium and other vital minerals for better egg development.

Azolla is very rich in proteins, essential amino acids, vitamins (vitamin A, vitamin B12, Beta Carotene), growth promoter intermediaries and minerals including calcium, phosphorous, potassium, ferrous, copper, magnesium. On a dry weight basis, azolla has 25-35% protein content, 10-15% mineral content, and 7-10% comprising a combination of amino acids, bio-active substances and biopolymers

Azolla meal contains 25.78% crude protein, 15.71% crude fiber, 3.47% ether extract, 15.76% ash and 30.08% nitrogen free extract on the air-dry basis

Azolla’s use as a feed for fish, swine and poultry was also tested and recommended by Alcantara & Querubin (1985) and Tran & Dao (1979) reported that one hectare of azolla can produce 540-720 kg of protein per month.
