On 17th Dec 2024, we rescued 32 dogs from a cruel puppy factory on the outskirts of Nairobi. These dogs have lived through unimaginable cruelty — kept in cramped bird cages with little to no food or water, no medical care, and no shelter. Many are weak, frightened, and seriously ill. Most have never walked on solid ground. Tragically, two have already passed away, Penzi and Pendo.
To Penzi and Pendo,
The two who may have never known love in their lives. We are so sorry we couldn't save you. We hope that, at last, you've found peace. We're grateful that we were the ones to offer you a warm bed, food, and loving care in your final moments.

We now have 30 lives to save. The heartbreaking reality is that puppy factories are becoming a growing, inhumane business thriving in Kenya. This is a crime, and it must end. Under Cap 360 of the Laws of Kenya and Article 69 of the Kenyan Constitution, the treatment these animals endured is illegal. These laws demand proper animal welfare, yet this cruelty continues unchecked. We need your support to fight back.

Yesterday, we rescued 32 dogs from a cruel puppy factory on the outskirts of Nairobi. We had support from the police, but we still faced violence. Our staff were assaulted and vehicles damaaged but we managed to remove the dogs to safety.
These dogs have lived through horrific cruelty — kept in cramped bird cages with little to no food or water, no medical care, and no proper shelter. Many are severely weak and frightened. Some are seriously ill, all starving. Most have never walked more than a few metres on solid ground in their lives.
This is criminal and it's big business. Cruel treatment like this is illegal under Cap 360 of the Laws of Kenya and Article 69 of the Kenyan Constitution, which demands proper animal welfare and environmental care.
Buying dogs from illegal online and street sellers feeds this cruelty. It also puts your family and community at risk of deadly diseases like rabies. We need to put a stop to this awful trade by refusing to buy animals that are treated like this.

Meet Tenko and Bhumi! 🐾
Tenko and Bhumi found each other at our shelter and have been inseparable ever since. Bhumi was first spotted during a vaccination drive in Kibera. She was very thin and needed help, so we brought her to the shelter, where she met Tenko—a sweet, loving girl who quickly became her best friend.
Both Tenko and Bhumi are female Kenyan Shepherds, about five months old. They love playing together and would thrive best if adopted as a pair. They are great with children, have even temperaments, and would make wonderful family pets.
Currently staying with a foster family, they are house-trained, walk well on a leash, and are still undergoing socialization. Both are sterilized, vaccinated, and microchipped—ready for their forever home!
