Farming is a business and just like any other businesses, we too encounter business ups and downs. One of the biggest challenge a farmer faces is that of having a trustworthy, honest, available farmhand.Kind that would feedback you on what happens in the farm.Being a farmer who also has an 8_5 job and other businesses to run, I appreciate constant updates on the farm happenings.Unfortunately, this has not been it the last two weeks. My current farmhard supervisor is quite bossy and would intimidate the rest of the farm workers with threats of firing them.Last week,he told one of them not to get into the farm rather go and prepare them porridge and even ordered him to sale my silage with an explanation of "nitakuja kumueleza"π³.And so today we hold it different.I have hired day labourers to work on the farm.Sometimes being a little tough protects one from alot.Putting your foot down too saves alot.Last season I lost three sack bags of beans that were sold to a local cereal vendor. When the news reached me,I went to the vendor's shop to reclaim my beans at midnight.I couldn't let a whole season's work get lost!I approached the vendor's shop with English of the nose and a few legal terms here and there,I managed to reclaim 2 sacks.Since then whenever harvesting is being done,I supervise the same myself.I have been character developed enough.π Otherwise,Hapa kazi Tu.
