🐶 World Rabies Day 🐶 ទិវាជំងឺឆ្កែឆ្កួតលើពិភពលោក (ខ្មែរខាងក្រោម)

Cambodia is home to about 5 million dogs and around 1.1 to 2.8 million cats. 🐕🐈

There are about 600,000 cases of dogs biting people in the country every year, and about 800 people die from rabies in Cambodia every year. (Source: Institut Pasteur du Cambodge).

What you can do

🔸 Get a rabies vaccination for yourself & your human family @ Institut Pasteur
🔸 Get rabies vaccination for your furry family (pets, cats, dogs)

Do You Think a Dog May Have Rabies? Do this:

🔹 Stay away from the dog and do NOT approach!
🔹 Call/message the IBCM hotline +855 (0)10 804 176 (English, Khmer), where Animal Rescue Cambodia's knowledgeable staff will advise you on how to proceed.
🔹 Signs of rabies include: salivating heavily, biting everything, and acting strangely.
