Animals of Our World is a UK-registered charity working towards animal rehabilitation and animal rights advocacy. We’ve built an animal sanctuary providing a safe haven to 100+ animals rescued from neglect in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Our work involves rehabilitating rescued stray animals, funding medical treatment for animals in need, supporting poverty-stricken local families to treat their sick and

injured animals, and prevention work including vaccinations, deworming, and sterilization to prevent the spread of disease and more animals from being born into suffering on the street. House of Strays is our rescue home, where we currently provide shelter to these animals. This shelter base is where rescues receive lifesaving rehabilitation and have the opportunity to be adopted into loving homes.

This is what overworked looks like!! 👹

After a full day of sanctuary work, we just added to our uniform/costume for our last fundraiser evening at .siemreap 🩷

Both evenings were a BLAST and we can't thank Chris & Anna enough for their endless support. ✨ ✨

JUNIOR NEEDS YOU AGAIN! 💚

Do you remember when we were fundraising for Junior's double amputation? 🥹

Since his operation he has been living drag sore free!

This was the option we had to choose for Junior because his legs were always tangling together and restricting his dragging/ mobility.

Junior (left) and Sok (right) are two potatoes in a sack. They're never far away from one another.

It's giving son and father!!

Unlike Sok, Junior has had further complications that still reduce his quality of life.

We have been researching, pondering, brainstorming, chatting, and researching more...

We think we have a solution to change Juniors life!

This would be a pe**le surgery which comes with it's risks.

BUT, If it is successful - Junior will have so much more freedom!!!

Knowing Junior, this is when he will truly thrive.

$600 seems like such a big chunk of money... 🙈

& It could take us many more months to raise!

We tragically lost Scar just two weeks ago and it already feels like it's been months.

This is because there is never a moment to pause and always another animal in need.

We have so many seniors at the sanctuary that are regularly diagnosed with new health conditions, healthy abled animal that suddenly fall sick and our disabled animals that have ongoing challenges.

This is really difficult because we are already in thousands of dollars of vet debt but we can't control emergencies.

Look at Scar!

He was rushed to the hospital as an emergency and he needed round the clock care and treatment up until two days before he died.

Scar didn't get better. He heartbreakingly died in our arms.

But we now owe $718!

If we hadn't of rushed Scar to hospital, he wouldn't have stood a chance.

His x-rays and ultrasounds were showing a scary amount of tumors.

This was the testing, treatment and supportive care he deserved.

Scar showed no symptoms up until a week before he passed. This is why he was an emergency and we had no funds to account for what he'd need.

In this scenario we just have to act.
But every time we face two terrifying realization.

1. We could lose them
2. Will we raise any money to help them?

We really REALLY need to raise this money fast so that it doesn't increase our vet debts.

The Animal Mama team were absolutely incredible - as always.

WE NEED A NEW PARALYZED POOL!! 😰😰😰

We are gutted for our paralyzed kids that their pool has given in...

It had some great swims and play and sadly now it's seen its day.

We don't know when we'll have funds spare to replace it.

We have found a brand new shiny one for $190!

But we would also be super grateful if anybody has a second hand pool they can donate.

Tiger broke our hearts trying to play in the pool. She doesn't understand why we can no longer fill it.

We've tried to put more support around it but it just continues to snap because of the rust.

We hope one day to have a permanent hydro pool.

📣📣 EMERGENCY

We have been called to help a dog in Battambong!!

Our sanctuary is in Siem Reap but this is a priority case.

He has been hit by a car and left paralyzed.

We know we need to help him but we don't quite know how we'll have that possible yet.

He has scars, wounds, sores and still hasn't given up.

We have no idea how long he has been dragging himself around the streets.

There is no animal sanctuary in the part of Cambodia where he had his accident.

He MUST be rescued and there is no other option.

We can give him the life he deserves.

Because what else is there for him at this point?

He will suffer for the rest of his life.

We are thrilled to announce that we raised $121.25 on Saturday.

Animals of Our World is a UK-registered charity that helps animals of all species.

So far, that support has extended and reached the United Kingdom, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

House of Strays Sanctuary is based in Siem Reap, Cambodia, and is completely funded by Animals of Our World.

This is where we care for 140 animals daily. Many of those have ongoing needs and extra care due to disability through road accidents or birth defects.

We always need funds for our sanctuary bills, veterinary debts, prevention projects, etc.

But we feel Elephant Nature Park needs them even more at this time.

Our team has been following the ENP crisis very closely.

Two members of our team have previously volunteered at their center in Chaing Mai and know many animals personally.

We've watched it all unfold from just next door, feeling helpless.

We can't even begin to imagine how much funding ENP will actually need to rebuild so many enclosures at their sanctuary.

So much has been destroyed.

Our paralyzed facility currently houses ten paralyzed dogs...

Can you imagine trying to relocate hundreds in an emergency?

Their team is working around the clock to rescue animals that were swept away during the flood, relocate their 5000+ animals to higher grounds, remove debris, and drain the water.

It is endless amounts of work for several weeks or months!

We do not have a big enough team to send helpers during this time, and we couldn't have taken life-saving money away from our animals.

We are so grateful to have had this opportunity to raise these funds for ENP.

IT'S TIME TO BOOSTER A WHOLE BUNCH OF OUR RESCUES! 🩵

We have 140 animals and it's always expensive when vaccines are due.

If we didn't vaccinate our rescues, they would spread fatal illnesses to each other.

It wouldn't just be a risk - it would cause a continuous outbreak of infectious diseases at our sanctuary.

This could and would kill everyone.

We are rescuing and rehabilitating extremely sick animals that would die without our intervention.

Only those who need ongoing medical care/ living with disability need to come to live at the sanctuary.

Many of our rescues have health conditions due to their previous suffering/ age. Auto immune conditions also leave our rescues susceptible to falling sick again much easier.

Our sanctuary rescues NEED protection.

They would be at high risk on the streets where they never received prevention...

But, they would be even MORE at risk by being unprotected and surrounded by so many animals in a sanctuary environment.

Prevention is ESSENTIAL.

We left him safely in the closest tree but with our whole property homing over 100 cats and dogs, he was at risk of possibly falling to his death once again. Five sick, abandoned, and terrified cats at our gate

🚨 Emergency Help Needed 🚨 Someone has just abandoned 5 terrified cats at our gate. All of them are in extremely poor condition, covered in fleas, with eye infections, possibly scabies, and who knows what else. Once we had found the cats in the cage, it was already dark. These sick cats could be carrying a multitude of diseases: FIV, FeLV, HPV, scabies. All of which threaten the lives of our 100+ rescues already on-site. They were abandoned in a cage among the street dogs outside, meaning the cats could have transmitted their diseases to the dogs. 🚨We need your help. 🚨We need donations of money, food, and cages. 🚨We already had NO space for more animals, and now we have to find space to quarantine these 5 sick cats. 🚨We need the money to get these sick cats to the vet. We will post more pictures of the cats later today. We began our rescue mission Cambodia just one year ago. Since then, have become a shelter where we’ve sheltered many, many cats and dogs who were previously suffering on the streets.

We’ve watched animals deteiroate and sadly pass away and make their way to a very peaceful place. From illnesses that were preventable and treatable, but unfortunately found/rescued just too late. Those animals are the fire and drive and the dedication, love behind every animal’s life we’ve ever saved.
