Some good news to brighten your day ☀️

Our MOLLY can finally leave Lebanon and fly to Europe, where a trusted foster home will welcome her until she gets adopted there.

All we need is a small support to cover her blood test: Lebanon is unfortunately on the list of countries with rabies and when ANY pet needs to travel to Europe or to USA, we need to secure 300$ for a blood test that will be done in a laboratory abroad.

We are very certain that our beautiful friends won't let Molly down. By donating 5 or 10 dollars, you will help Miss Molly to get closer to her forever home.

Yes, flying dogs to fosters or adopters abroad is costly and requires a lot of work but it's a very rewarding project that will allow us to welcome other dogs in need. When a dog gets adopted, they make room for another 🌸

With very few good homes in Lebanon, especially for dogs like Molly, the only way to have our dogs adopted (and take other stray dogs instead), is by sending them abroad.

ZYRA wishes you a lovely weekend! ❤️‍🩹

She's still at the hospital but she's eating and she gained 2 kg in 7 days!

This time last week, she weighed 16 kg - half of her normal weight...

Today, she weighs 18 kg 🥳

She took one more medical bath for her mange, she's still on IV and we're trying to avoid blood transfusion as much as we can. Wish her luck!

Update on ZORO 🖤 who will be his guardian angel?

Last Friday, we rushed Zoro to the emergency vet hospital. He's been living in a quiet and safe neighborhood for years until he was bullied and hit by a monster - we're still trying to find out who abused him...

Zoro suffered for days. We're so happy we managed to catch him after he disappeared. He was in pain but too scared to approach anyone.

He's been at the vet hospital for 4 days and will stay until tomorrow.
Earlier today he had his surgery. We also asked the vets to neuter him and give him the vaccine booster.

However, we're very anxious because we need to cover his bill ASAP. We're only getting little donations while our bills are too large... We can't keep going like this.

In addition to the 345 USD, we need to secure another 150 USD for a dog sitter to keep Zoro at her place until he fully recovers and his wound is completely healed. A total of 495 USD...

How unlucky could a kitten be?

We took KIRI, the kitten we rescued 2 days ago (more in the Instagram reel) to one of our trusted vets.

After the examination, the doctors informed us that she can't feel her paw and would require an amputation... 😓

In addition to this sad news, one of the tests showed that she has caught the deadly parvo virus ☹️
She's also anemic and will need a good diet... She only weighs 500 grams 🥺

Now KIRI has to be quarantined, we also need to make sure she's eating well and taking her treatment, until she gains weight for her surgery 🤞

Breakdown of the cost until now:
1. Xray, blood test, rapid test, injections: 65 usd
2. Medical stay: 120 usd for 10 days (instead of 150 usd)
3. Amputation surgery: 250 to 350 usd, too early to confirm now, depending on her weight.

At the moment, our main concern is KIRI's health. But we have to start looking for a safe place or shelter for her because after the surgery, as she will not be able to return to the streets with 3 paws 💔

We made it happen! It's all thanks to our loyal, generous and kind friends!

Our boy Heart left Lebanon and safely arrived to Canada 🍁
He's decompressing at his foster home now - we pray it will be a foster fail and he gets adopted in no time!

Thanks to 3 of our friends who donated, we managed to cover Heart's trip and thanks to Marwa Hussein who previously found a wonderful family for our Sol, the dog with severe mange, Heart will find his forever home in and we'll be able to fly another dog VERY SOON 🐾

We couldn't have done this without Elie A. who fostered Heart in Lebanon and. Elie N. who was Heart's travel partner from Beirut to Montreal.

Adopt FLAKE 🤍

We rescued Flake a few months ago after she was reported to us by a kind lady that spotted her on Bhamdoun highway. She was confused, scared and panting...

Even though she was extremely dirty and didn't approach us at first but it was clear that she had a family that abandoned her. She took some time to trust people again.

Flake is around 1 year old. She's a swiss shepherd that has shown us her beautiful character. Love heals, right? 🥰

We're glad we were able to save her life, otherwise she'd be definitely hit by a speeding car...

New rescue ⚠️
We need your support, please. This puppy's life depends on you.

Even though we said we're not taking new dogs anymore because we reached our limit, we couldn't say no to this case.

A kind man reported this puppy to us, her eye is severely wounded. She was rushed to the closest hospital.

We named her CLEO.

Cleo is only 1 month old and she already suffered on the streets of Lebanon, she almost lost her eye... We pray we will be able to save it.
The vet gave her a treatment for 10 days, we're hoping it her eye will heal.

We need a foster that could keep Cleo in a home (clean environment) for 30 to 45 days, because she's too young to be at the shelter.

Could anyone temporarily foster to keep her safe?

If not, we will have to put her at a paid foster that we honestly cannot afford.

Graphic content - heartbreaking...

This dog was reported by a kind lady in Ras El Maten. He was shot and is bleeding heavily.
He was too scared, in pain and didn't let the lady carry him to the car. He tried to attack out of fear 😔

By the time we arrived, he managed to escape but we don't think he will go far.

Hit by a motorbike and left to die in the middle of the road in Aley, this puppy we named Vegas miraculously survived...

The moment we saw her face and neck covered with blood, we rushed her to the hospital. We couldn't even take a video due to the gravity of her situation. We were in a hurry and honestly never thought she'd make it.
She was fragile, wounded and was crying in pain 😔

Luckily, no broken jaw. We did the needed Xrays, put her on IV (last 2 pics) and started treatment.
Her injuries are quickly healing thanks to the love and care of her wonderful fosters.

Vegas finished her treatment and will be vaccinated tomorrow. She's only 3 months old and will be spayed when she's 1 year old.

We're actively looking for an adopter or a foster or a foster-to-adopt.

Vegas loves everyone, humans and other pets, she's also great with cats. She has the cutest ears and the most playful character!

⚠️ EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS 🙏 please share, it's top urgent ⚠️

Following last night's events in the region, we urgently need to secure enough food for the animals under our care: our dogs, street cats that we daily feed and our 2 donkeys rely on us 🐶🐱🐴

Can you spare 10$ or 5$ to feed an animal in need?

The problems could escalate and we have to be ready.

We need to place an order ASAP and we need to cover the total of 1,750 USD (dry food, wet food, special diet) for the supplier to deliver our order.

1,750$ - the amount might be big but no donation is too small. Together, we can make it happen.

URGENT 🙏

Another golden retriever bought by an irresponsible guardian and ended up on the streets...

They named her "Lucky", used her for breeding, sold her puppies and finally dumped her for no reason.

How "Unlucky" a dog would be, to be born or brought to a society where most people have ZERO ethics and lack empathy for animals...

Despite all the hardwork that the reputable Animal Welfare NGOs, charities, good shelters and kind individuals are doing, we still have sad stories like this.

We really want to make a change in Lucky's life.

We want the find her the BEST home in Lebanon or abroad, to show her so-called family how dogs should be treated.

She's 3 or 4 years old, spayed, super obedient and probably one of the sweetest dogs we've ever met.
She's friendly with humans and other dogs.

Please help us rehome BETTY 🙏

We got a call about this cutie and we decided to step in to make sure Betty is safe and will be in good hands.

Betty's guardian passed away. She loved her to pieces... Her husband not only lost his wife but he also lost his sight and cannot take care of Betty the way he's supposed to 😔

He contacted us with a heavy heart to help him find his Betty a suitable forever home.

Betty is a small sized dog, she's 4 years old and fully vaccinated.
As usual, spaying is a must prior adoption.

Betty is friendly with people. She's not tested around other dogs but her good temperament will allow her to live with a family that has other pets.

The only condition would be to keep updating her initial guardian on her status 🥺

We rescued Lufi last month. He was dragged by a car and was severely injured. His paws and thighs were bleeding... A kind person found him on the side of the road, under the rain, unable to move (check previous posts).

After 1 month of recovery, Lufi needs a forever home. Thanks to your support, we were able to cover his vet bills and we also covered his 30-day stay at a home boarding where Lufi got over his trauma.

Lufi is now house trained, potty trained, vaccinated and neutered. He's friendly with humans and other dogs.
He's only 1 year old.

In our previous posts, we mentioned that we reached our capacity and we sadly can't afford to take more dogs, due to huge expenses and limited space, but we couldn't see this dog with his open wounds and leave him to his fate...

DRAGGED BY A CAR, this pup was left to die on the side of the road in Tabarja. Unable to move, he spent the whole day under the heavy rain yesterday until he was seen and reported to us. We really wish we knew who did this to him 😔

We rushed him to the vet hospital, put him on IV, cleaned his wounds, did the needed Xrays and blood tests and immediately started treatment. No broken bones 🙏

He's not only weak but also skin and bones and anemic, he tried to look for food everywhere 😭 we can't imagine when was the last time he ate...

We named him LUFI. We need an urgent foster home for him or a foster-to-adopt this sweet puppy. He's around 1 year old. He needs a clean environment for his wounds to heal 😓

Adopt MORI 🐇🤍🐰

We posted Mori's story last October and again, in November to find him a home.
He was tiny (make sure you check the 5th photo), he had low chances of survival around bigger and stronger dogs, especially in winter.

Mori's life changed to the better when his amazing foster Cynthia welcomed him during the cold season and did everything for him - that's why we keep looking for fosters!

Our pup is now potty trained, house trained, crate trained, knows basic commands and he even knows how to smile (3rd photo is hilarious 😂)

With the support of .lb this boy is perfectly well behaved now. He's a real gentleman!

All he needs is a committed adopter.

Mori is fully vaccinated and will be neutered very soon.

How cruel can a human be to leave this tiny kitten and her 2 siblings, in a cardboard box, under the rain, during this very bad storm?

Abandoning pets like this, in front of someone's house, assuming they are "animal lovers and can handle the situation" is not only inhumane but also unethical - to say the least.
These kitten could've died of hunger or frozen to death.

Anyway, the kind person who found this surprise at his doorstep is asking for help with 3 kittens that require special care that he can't provide. Their milk will be provided so no extra cost.

As you may know, we only have a shelter for dogs.
Could anyone be able to help us help them?

We promise that will have a suitable place for them early March, when they will be strong enough to be left alone, with a family that also has dogs.

Please reach out if you can help us help these kittens for around 40 days. You can save their lives! ❤️

Her guardian passed away 😔 pls help us rehome this cutie 🙏

Her name is IVY, she was born in July 2020 and was living an amazing life with her family. She was extremely attached to the man who raised her and trained her.

When the guardian passed away, his selfless wife contacted us to help her with Ivy. She cannot give her the care she needs as she's raising her 2 kids alone now.

We're looking for a forever home for Miss Ivy. She's vaccinated and we spayed her last month at one of our trusted vets.

Ivy is well behaved, potty trained, house trained, great with kids. She will surely bring joy to her adopters.

Let's change his life to the better, before it's too late 🙏🙏🙏

Rex was chained for almost 13 years! You read it right, thirteen years.
We really don't know how insensitive a family could be... And for so long!
Rain or shine, Rex spent his entire life chained, outside, next to this dog 'house', on the sidewalk.

For more than twelve years, he was there, outside the big fenced house of his "guardians". He was a prisoner and they were feeding him once a day, waiting for him to pass away.

We kept an eye on him, for days, he was there, waiting for his death to come and release him from his loneliness.

And how many other chained dogs are suffering in harsh weather in silence waiting for someone to step in???

Anyway, we were able to contact the person in charge and after gently explaining to them how a pet should be treated, they agreed to give us Rex.
We thought we might receive some resistance or a promise to improve his living conditions, but it was the opposite. They surrendered him like an old used toy.

Rex was supposed to join the pack at the shelter but we really want him to have a family that loves him, especially that he doesn't have much time left...

He needs an urgent home. Everything will be provided for his care. Otherwise, the only option would be a paid home boarding that we can't afford (150 USD per month)

Please open your hearts for this sweet boy, he deserves a better life, especially with the wounds he has due to sleeping in on the ground, without a mat underneath him.

Plea for help. We are drowning. Please take a minute to read 😔

Our biggest fear is to see these beautiful smiles fade away. We spent a lot of time and energy to make our dogs healthy, happy and safe. We don't want to fail them.
But we are literally drowning.

We took more cases than we could handle, especially when other good shelters had stopped taking new dogs, the requests we receive have doubled and most of them were urgent cases we couldn't say no to...

It's the end of the year and we have a debt that EXCEEDED 3700 USD that we have to close - these are medical bills only, at 3 of our trusted vet hospitals.

In addition to these bills, we have to place a dry food order and cover the 1,500 USD invoice.

All this in less than 20 days.

Our Jordan is a senior dog. He ended up with us after his family abandoned him, 2 years ago. It took us some time to get him out of his depression 😔

It's truly heartbreaking when people buy puppies from pet shops and abandon them a few months later. It simply shows they have no commitment and no ethics...

This is exactly what happened to Snow...

This cutie got lucky because he didn't end up on the streets. One of our friends saved him from his so-called guardians who were dumping him and she is currently fostering him.

Snow an 11-month-old bichon, very friendly with people and other pets.

He is cuddly, super cute and fluffy. He's vaccinated and healthy. Neutering is a must.

Graphic content - heartbreaking... This dog was reported by a kind lady in Ras El Maten. He was shot and is bleeding heavily. He was too scared, in pain and didn't let the lady carry him to the car. He tried to attack out of fear 😔 By the time we arrived, he managed to escape but we don't think he will go far. Please, if you see him in the village send us or @dogsforadoption.lb a message. JUST TWO HAPPILY ADOPTED PUPS 🤍🤍 . We rescued both of these beauties from Lebanon and they both flew to England, together, to their forever home. . Lola was abused before we found her. A monster cut her ears and tail with scissors. She was traumatized and broken. . Lizzie (now Perdi) was used for breeding. We found her abandoned on the shelter road, she was crying, full of ticks.
