We are very grateful for the kind hearted people at Real Animal Rights Foundation - RAR Malta for helping out our shelter in Lebanon financially.

This NGO in Malta was successful in creating a campaign, with the help of Romina Frendo, that people from around the world contributed to for our survival. It is not easy to sustain a shelter and keep saving dogs from the streets of Lebanon.

In Lebanon, dogs are being abandoned and many are unable to survive on their own. We try our best to help as much as we can when we get a call to rescue. Sometimes it is really impossible to take on more than the 450+ dogs we currently have.

The money will be used for : The repairs of the shelter and preparations for winter since it will be getting very cold and we need to make sure the dogs will be in a safe place. The food and water that we constantly need to be able to fead our angels (always welcome to have food donations, so please reach out). Try to cover as much as we can from surgeries and medical check-ups. Sadly on this part it is very hard to maintain these costs and we couldn't have continued rescuing without the help of vets with humanitarian hearts and patient minds.

An incredibly sweet dog was rescued today by nice people from Saida. They drove her to our shelter. Sadly she seems very scared, we are not sure if about her background story, but she sure is very hurt and in pain. She also has lots of insects infesting her body. We will be treating her immediately and will surely take care of her. We called her Coquita, a playful one with so much love to give. 😊

🙏 Please consider helping us out with treating her injuries. We will be hosting her in our shelter and she will have lovely new brothers and sisters with us to play with. For now though she will really need all the care possible and we hope for someone to step in with the financial help.

AWP was established in 2015. Dana started rescuing stray dogs in 2010 - back when she moved from the US to Lebanon. She had 30 dogs at first and now the shelter has grown and there are up to 350 dogs today.
