Out in the market we've found many people selling products to deodorize you hamsters cage.. but we strongly advise not to use any of these products as it may affect the respiratory system of your hamster... if you find your hamster setup giving an awful smell we advise you to sprinkle a little bit of baking soda before adding the bedding (bicarbonate soda) to your hamster set up once you clean it.. this will help in eliminating the bad odor off you babies setup... never go for strong smells and products as this will threaten the life of you little hamster.. 🐹🐾

Coconut as a healthy treat for your hamster 🐹

Hamsters can absolutely eat Coconut! Coconut has a lot of health benefits, Coconut contains dietary fibers, zinc and iron which will allow your hamster to fight disease and ill health,They are sure to love you for it as well!
Give your hamster a half an inch piece of coconut 2 times a month, more than that can increases their risk of obesity 🐹🐾

• Refrain touching our tank setups and Hamsters unless you have selected what you want to buy.

• We recommend all our customers who need the Hamster monthly needs to order over the phone as we do have island wide delivery option.

Why we at Hammy Paws don't deliver hamsters to your doorstep

• Customer will not get all the guidance on how to take care of the hamster.

• Customer is unable to check the breeder's knowledge

• Customer will not be able to see how the hamster is kept and maintained

• Customer will not be able to see if the hamsters are healthy

• Cusomer should like the hamster and connect with it

These are few points why we don't deliver hamsters to your doorstep as many of our customers request. We at Hammy Paws want our customers and hamsters to be 100% happy with their new pet and new home. We do deliver all other hamsters requirements island wide. 🚚🐹🐾

What you could do to keep your hamster warm during cold weather

• Give them extra bedding

•Move them away from open areas

•Give them a soft comfortable cloth

•Give them sufficient food

•Do not deep clean thier cage

•Spot clean the wet areas daily

It is with a heavy heart we bid goodbye to our oldest hamster in our collection "Frendy" she was the most friendly, loving attention freak we had.. she was so attached to all of us at home loved all of us and her fellow hamsters immensely.. She was a mentor to many hamsters out there.. "Frendy" we truly miss you our hamster set up will never look the same without you.. you have left your Hammy Paw Prints forever in our hearts.. We all love you loads "Frendy" no words could Express how we feel.. bidding goodbye to you was the hardest part in our lives yesterday.. you were so happy to say bye to us all but we will miss you untill we meet again.. Are you looking for a pair of hamsters?? If your intention is to breed them we advise you to buy either a Male or female from us and get the other male or female from elsewhere..

1. Is because we do not support inbreeding
2. Knowledge on bringing up the pups

We kindly request you to first educate yourself on how to bring up the pups.. out in the market cruel pet shops just sell off the hamsters not giving thier customer any information on how to maintain their hamsters and not letting the customer know that male and female hamsters kept together can breed quite fast.. so there are many hamsters out in the market for cheap prices as the owner needs to get ridoff the pupps.. we kindly plead you not to do so and risk the lives of the hamster pups and their mums too.. these small animals too needs loads of love and care.. always test the knowledge of the breeder before you purchase any pet.. 🐹🐾

We do not reccomend sea sand as it will affect the hamsters respiratory system due to small dust particles that can cause infections. We reccomend to give your hamster a proper bathing sand where there is no added chemicals in it. Hamsters do not require a water bath as it will affect the natural oils on the skins surface.. dry bath is adequate to keep themselves odor free 🐹🐾 🐹🐾

Have you ever seen your hamster having an eye like this? wonder what it is and why they have an eye like this at times? This condition is called "sticky eye" it is caused by wheeping of the eye while the hamster is a sleep it mainly affects older hamsters but some time could be seen in young pups too.. Sticky eye can be treated at home. Once you notice your hamster with a sticky eye pick it out of its cage calm him down so that it would not jump out of your hand and hurt itself...Moisten a piece of cotton with lukewarm water and gently hold the cotton wool over its affected eye.. hold the cotton for a few seconds and see if the dry crust has softened up if so gently wipe it off its eye..let the hamster open its eye on it's own as force opening its eye may cause damage to the hamster as thier eye are very tender..repeat this 3 times a day until you see it disappear from the hamster.. please note if there is other symptoms like swelling of the eye or a protruding eye it may indicate a different condition.
