This is why vaccinating your puppies and pets is so important. We are currently seeing a high influx of parvovirus cases, which can be fatal but also prevented with a course of vaccinations 💉
Protect your pets against preventable diseases like parvo, distemper and rabies 👩🏾⚕️

We wonder what the other guy looks like 🐈⬛ 🥊🐈😳
Last night, we treated these multiple oozing, abscesses after this kitty cat had been involved in a cat fight a few days earlier. Even during shaving the site for treatment, you can see the multiple puncture wounds and literally pus trickling out 🥺
Abscesses are painful wounds that cats can get after being scratched or cut in fights with other cats and animals, even objects. Abscesses can look like an open sore or swelling on your cats skin.
If you find your cat has any wounds, it’s best to make an appointment with a vet before the chance of infection, which can lead to painful abscesses.
We will see kitty cat in a few days for a follow up and check how the wounds are healing ❤️🩹

🐾 WE ARE OPEN FOR YOU & YOUR PETS 🐾
We hope you are hanging in there with the start of Day 3 of lockdown. We would love to hear how you are keeping motivated?
Are you spending more time with your pets?
Here’s a few activity suggestions you could do with your pets to beat the lockdown boredom:
🐕 Teach your dog basic obedience, such as sit, stay, drop. Use rewards to help keep their attention with their favourite treat
🐈 Play fetch with your pets - throw their favourite toy or ball
🦴 Play hide and seek and see if they can find you or their toys (but don’t loose them haha)
😻 Give your pets extra love and spoil them with a massage, or a brush. At the same time check if they have any parasites or wounds
We would love to hear and see what you’re getting up to with your pets this lockdown, share with us your photos 📸

It’s the weekend 👏 and what better way to spend your days giving your pet some extra love ♥️
Did you know cuddling and petting your pets has many health benefits for both animals and humans. Touching your dog and cat releases oxytocin (the feel good hormones) in you and your furry friend, so a soothing massage, gentle grooming session, or extended petting time will tell your dog in no uncertain terms how much you love them. In particular, rubbing your dog’s ears works to release oxytocin in their body. Those adorable, soft ears are also packed with feeling receptors.
Send us a photo 📷 of giving your pet some extra love this weekend and we’ll share your photo in our stories and spread the love 🐾♥️
Dr Nayomi takes time to carefully explain to new puppy parents and family the importance of vaccinating their new puppy against distemper, parvo, and rabies 💉
