TIME LINE...

Sri Lanka Jama'athe Islami has activated the Disaster Relief Coordinating Centre (DRCC) to support people affected by the disaster. We set up a hotline, helped connect families to rescue teams, collected data from branches, sent volunteers for field assessments, and distributed relief items. The DRCC continues to assist with cleaning, counselling, and recovery work.

Sri Lanka Jama'athe Islami Felicitates YMMA Conference on Its Platinum Jubilee Convention

Ash Sheikh M.H.M. Ussair Islahi, President of Sri Lanka Jama'athe Islami has extended his heartiest felicitation to the All Ceylon Young Men’s Muslim Association Conference(Inc.) on the occasion of its Platinum Jubilee Convention, marking 75 years of dedicated and exemplary service.

In his message to the President, Executive Committee and members of the organization, the Jam'ath President has stated 'It is with immense pleasure and profound admiration that I, on behalf of myself and the members of the Central Consultative Council, extend our warmest felicitations to the All Ceylon Young Men’s Muslim Association Conference(Inc.) on the occasion of its Platinum Jubilee Convention, marking 75 years of dedicated and exemplary service.

Your remarkable journey of seven and a half decades is a testament to the unwavering commitment of your founders and generations of members who have worked tirelessly to uplift the youth, promote education, alleviate poverty, and foster inter-communal harmony across Sri Lanka'.

In his message Jama'ath president has prayed Allah to bless the momentous convention to serve as a springboard for even greater achievements, inspiring the next generation of leaders to carry forward the noble mission of the organization

He also has wished the organization a successful and inspiring convention and continued success in the years ahead.

SLJI and Ramya Lanka Representatives Attend NMSJ Deliberations on Provincial Councils

The National Movement for Social Justice (NMSJ), led by former Speaker of the Sri Lankan Parliament, Deshabandu Karu Jayasuriya, convened a high-level discussion on October 2, 2025, to address the urgent need to hold Provincial Council elections.

The forum brought together a broad coalition of stakeholders, including Members of Parliament, representatives from various political parties, intellectuals, and civil society organizations.

On the invitation of NMSJ Mr. M.H.M. Hassan, Assistant General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Jamaathe Islami, and Mr. T.M. Ali Sabri, a member of the Board of Directors of Ramya Lanka also attended this forum.

The central theme of the deliberation was the critical importance of expediting elections for the Provincial Councils. Participants underscored that holding these elections is a constitutional mandate under the 13th Amendment to the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, to ensure the decentralization of power.

A key point highlighted was the extraordinary delay, with 11 years having passed since the last Provincial Council elections were conducted.

Furthermore, the attendees recalled that the current National People's Power (NPP) government had included a commitment in its policy statement to hold both Provincial Council and Local Government elections within one year of assuming power. While Local Government Elections were recently held, the Provincial Council polls remain outstanding.

The meeting concluded with a decisive resolution to collectively pressure the government to hold the Provincial Council elections without any further undue delay.

புத்தளம் மாநகர சபைக்கு புதிதாக தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட உறுப்பினர்களை கௌரவிக்கும் வகையில், இலங்கை ஜமாஅத்தே இஸ்லாமி மற்றும் ரம்யலங்கா நிறுவனம் இணைந்து ஏற்பாடு செய்திருந்த பாராட்டு நிகழ்வு இலங்கை ஜமாஅத்தே இஸ்லாமியின் தலைவர் உஸ்தாத் எம்.எச்.எம். உஸைர் இஸ்லாஹி தலைமையில் 2025 செப்டம்பர் 20 ஆம் திகதி சனிக்கிழமை புத்தளம் இஸ்லாஹிய்யா பெண்கள் கல்லூரி சாமில் கேட்போர் கூடத்தில் நடைபெற்றது.

இதில் பல்வேறு அரசியல் கட்சிகளைப் பிரதிநிதித்துவப்படுத்தும் சபையின் உறுப்பினர்களும் சிவில் சமூக பிரதிநிதிகள், கல்வியாளர்கள், சர்வமதத் தலைவர்கள், வர்த்தக சமூக பிரதிநிதிகள் மற்றும் நலன் விரும்பிகள் என பலரும் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.

இதன் போது இலங்கை ஜமாஅத்தே இஸ்லாமியின் தலைவர் அவர்களினால் புத்தளம் மாநகர சபையின் தலைவர், உப தலைவர் உட்பட மற்றும் அனைத்து உறுப்பினர்களையும் கௌரவிக்கும் வகையில் அனைவருக்கும் நினைவுச் சின்னம் வழங்கி வைக்கப்பட்டது.

இலங்கை ஜமாஅத்தே இஸ்லாமியின், கொழும்பு மற்றும் மேற்குப் பிராந்திய பெண் ஊழியர்களுக்கான பிராந்திய ஒன்றுகூடல் கடந்த 2025.08.24ம் திகதி ஞாயிற்றுக் கிழமை, கொழும்பு அல்-ஹிதாயா பாடசாலை கேட்போர் கூடத்தில் நடைபெற்றது.

நிகழ்வில்,
ஜமாஅத்தின் தலைவர் உஸ்தாத் M.H.M. உஸைர் இஸ்லாஹி, முன்னாள் தலைவர் உஸ்தாத் ரஷீத் ஹஜ்ஜுல் அக்பர் மற்றும் உதவித் தலைவர் அஷ் ஷெய்க். M.T. அப்துர் ரஹ்மான் (நளீமி) ஆகியோர் சிறப்புரை நிகழ்த்தினர்.

காலை 09:00 மணி முதல் பி.ப 02:00 மணி வரை நடைபெற்ற இந்நிகழ்வில், இரு பிராந்தியங்களையும் சேர்ந்த 200 வரையான பெண் ஊழியர்கள் கலந்துகொண்டனர்.
