When the Horseys are experienced lesson horses they are called STABLE MASTERS. They are essential for riders to confidently and safely learn about riding and the care of horses.

Stable masters will usually only respond when you give them the correct aids riding

OPEN LORRY - GET IN…

We have limited parking space, but we use the opportunity presented by the lorry in the arena to school the horses quite young for transport. The ramp is nearly always down, and horseys use it for shelter and play. Grass and feed is usually provided inside, and have the youngsters taking nap inside when there is a drizzle. As most of our work involves horses traveling around the island, this helps the first few moments of learning transport less stressful for our horseys.

PRINCE has been having some late nights… 🥱FROST ⚪️🐴is a bit too active and wants to play… ALL. THE. TIME! 🤦‍♀️

Lately Prince has been taking mini naps 😴🐴over the course of the day ☀️to catch up… and seems to appreciate 💕💕💕when he gets equally lazy riders🥱👧 that are willing to take a nap with him 😅😴

HELLO… 👋

Ever seen horseys say hello❓They bring their noses together first. 👃🐴But it’s not safe ⛔️for us to bring our nose close to a horsey we don’t know… 👎which is why we give the horsey our hand first 🤜and allow it to decide whether it is ok for us to get closer to it. ✅We insist riders say hi 👋to their horses before they mount up! otherwise they being very very rude! ☹️👎

MATTU PONGAL - is the day that we at our stable use to celebrate our horseys. A day full of washing horseys, decorating the stables and painting the horseys and Ofcourse cooking the Pongal rice. This year we included a religious Hindu blessing of the horses as well 🪔🐴

This year our annual celebration of the horse will be on Mattu Pongal day in the evening.

We are inviting everyone to come in and be a part of activities :) This year we are aiming for a proper religious blessing of the horseys, along with the painting and the washing, and the decorating of the stables.

Those amazing young volunteers 💕 so grateful for the horse mad resilient caring and patient young volunteers that would live in the stable if we didn’t oust them out at the end of the day.

Always there with a kind word and hug for the horseys. And so very patient with each other to teach new skills.

We have been so lucky with some amazing young riders that make horsey care priority.

FYI: COCO was ok, but had a scratch that he needed a little medication on. They were checking for cleanliness and medicating.

Any GARDENERS in the midst?? 🍃🌿🌿Bring a sack and take as much as you want!! Some horseys make around 25kg of manure 💩💩a day, so we have loads for you to pick. Free for anyone with their own sack for this December!!
