🍭CAN DOGS EAT SWEETS?

It's generally best to keep candy out of reach of dogs because it can lead to various health issues.

1. Weight gain
One of concerns is high sugar content of candy thats can lead to stomach upset or obesity.

2. Xylitol poisoning
Xylitol poisoning can occur if the candy contains the artificial sweetener xylitol. It can cause low blood sugar levels and potentially life-threatening conditions like hypoglycaemia, pancreatitis, and liver failure.

3. Chocolate toxicity
Chocolate contains two toxic ingredients for dogs: caffeine and theobromine. Some symptoms of chocolate poisoning in dogs include abnormal heart rates, changes in blood pressure, frequent urination, digestive problems, and seizures.

4. Elevated blood pressure
Another issue is the risk of elevated blood pressure from caffeine in chocolate or coffee-flavored candies, which can be deadly if consumed in large quantities.

😱5 WAYS YOU ARE SHORTENING YOUR DOG’S LIFE

🦷Poor dental care

An estimated 85% of dogs over the age of 5 suffer from periodontal disease caused by food, bacteria and plaque collecting at the gum line. This condition leads to more than just soreness and foul breath. A buildup of bacteria in the mouth can trigger systemic issues like heart, liver and kidney disease.

🐩Lack of socialization

Lack of socialization leads to anxiety which can manifest as aggression, house soiling, self mutilation and dermatological issues. Fearful dogs are also more likely to run away, opening up a whole new set of dangers.

🐾Lack of exercise

Not being in the habit of exercising your dog daily can mean that your dog is a greater risk of developing health problems. Regular exercising doesn’t just keep your pet’s weight under control, but it boosts the immune system, increases cardiac strength, helps to keep joints healthy and provides mental stimulation.

🚭Exposing your dog to passive smoke

Just as in humans, secondhand smoke can be a killer for dogs. Repeat exposure to toxins from cigarette smoke can result in allergies, respiratory issues, heart disease and certain types of cancer.

👩🏻‍⚕️Skipping annual vet visits

Another habit that can impact on the lifespan of your pet pooch is ignoring annual or bi-annual checkups. During routine checks, your vet will give your dog a physical examination and take blood work. This is the best way of catching canine diseases early and making sure that health problems don’t become chronic.

Did you know how amazing MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) is? We cannot emphasise enough the incredible properties this natural ingredient has! 🌿

First of all let us remind you - it is a source of natural sulfur. Don’t let the chemical name scare you.
In natural ways you can get it from sea water. Some say it is even found in morning dew..

✨ MSM is basic element of connective tissue
If a body lacks MSM (organic sulfur), it just won't “hold together”. No connective tissue, no ligaments, cartilage, skin or muscle strength..

✨MSM has a carrier function
This fantastic compound is responsible for and required for other substances to be effective. It helps to open the cell membrane and bring in all in.
As an example - without MSM such substances as glucosamine and marine chondroitin won't have any effect. Therefore if you are looking for joint supplements, make sure it includes MSM or you give it to your pet separately.

✨MSM is a detoxifier
Since it has the properties to open cell membranes, it also has the ability to clean the cells of toxins. Once the toxins are out of the cell, the body gets rid of them in “natural ways”.
It has amazing capabilities to find inflammation and sick parts of the body and do focused healing work there.

🛍 You can order all our products containing MSM on our website www.gigivet.com

🐾 5 REASONS WHY YOUR DOG LICKS PAWS

1. Allergies

Itchy paws in dogs may be a result of an allergic reaction. Usually, an allergic reaction will be accompanied by other symptoms such as swelling, redness, sneezing, ear itching, etc. You need to talk to your veterinarian to discuss factors that may be causing the allergic reaction.

2. Arthritis or joint pain

A dog that is experiencing pain due to arthritis or other foot or leg conditions may lick his paws. Even if the pain is somewhere else in their body, some dogs will try to deal with it by licking a front paw continuously. This requires diagnosis and treatment by a veterinarian.

3. Boredom or stress

Your dog might just be bored, or it might be suffering from a behavioral issue like anxiety leading to compulsive behaviors like paw licking. There are a number of ways you can attempt to relieve it, including calming pills , like GIGI VET supplement da-ba RELAX Plus. To alleviate boredom, also try taking your dog for more walks, runs, give him safe chew toys to take his focus away from his paws.

4. Injuries or wounds

Your dog can have irritated his paw by stepping on something sharp, walking on salted or hot sidewalks, being stung by a bee etc. Some of these problems can be relieved by a simple first aid treatment, others might require treatment by a veterinarian.

5. Infections, parasites

If there are no injuries on the paws or feet, the licking may be due to a skin infection. Dermatitis is the most common, but many other fungal and bacterial infections can affect a dog's paws. Parasitic infections like fleas or mange can cause severe itchy paws. Your veterinarian may recommend a parasite-killing treatment that should reduce itching.
