🥰We’re absolutely over the moon to share an update on how our puppies are doing in their new homes! It’s been such a joy to hear from their families and see how these little furballs are settling in.

🐾Groenendaels, a variety of Belgian Shepherd dogs, are known for their thick, double-layered coats, which make them well-suited for colder weather. Their dense undercoat provides insulation, while the longer outer coat offers protection against wind, rain, and snow. This adaptation allows them to thrive in cooler climates and enjoy outdoor activities even in chilly conditions.

📜Historically, Groenendaels were bred as working dogs in Belgium, often used for herding and guarding livestock in varying weather conditions. Their resilience and endurance in colder environments made them ideal for such tasks. Even today, they retain their love for outdoor adventures, particularly in cooler temperatures, where they can run, play, and explore without overheating.

🥰In summary, Groenendaels' physical traits and historical background make them naturally inclined to enjoy colder weather, where they can fully embrace their energetic and adventurous nature.

✨We previously posted about a black beauty and asked to guess the breed. And you were right - our pack has been joined by a Belgian shepherd - the Groenendael.
🐾The Groenendael is one of the four Belgian shepherd variants. The others are - Tervueren, the Laekenoi and the infamous Malinois.
We did a lot and a lot, and a lot of research on the breed before deciding on the Groenendael. They are an extremely intelligent, hardworking and protective dogs.
🌙Meet CARAIDA DAONNA KELLY or as we call her Calypso (she has another nickname- Cola, but she must be a Pepsi girl as she deliberately ignores it). Calypso represents a herding breed but is so very different from our corgis. She is very sensible, obedient and curious. Calypso picks up our cues and from the other dogs very quickly without us having to teach her anything.
💕Although she also belongs to the same family as a Malinois, we feel that she has much less energy (though still more active than our retrievers) and is much much sweeter than them.
💖Calypso has fit right in with our pack playing with both retrievers and corgis as well as helping with our daily chores.
We'll also continue updating you how she is doing in the future.
