Bridget is a Maltese woman married to a Sicilian and has been living in Sicily for the past twenty three years. For all these years Bridget has been rescuing sick, abandoned dogs almost singlehandedly. Unfortunately the stray dog situation in Sicily is horrendous. Packs of stray dogs can be seen wandering around scavenging for food. As a general rule Sicilians never spay or neuter their pets. This
has resulted in an excessive amount of ownerless creatures roaming the streets. The locals consider them vermin and go through abominable lengths to get rid of them. The situation is made worse by the lack of functional animal shelters., however we have joined forces with Samira Association and like this we can help more strays. We aim to save as many innocent lives as we can, working hand in hand with another NGO. 'United we stand, divided we fall'' TOGETHER WE WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF THESE INNOCENT CREATURES.
