Во светот има многу проблеми кои треба да се решат, а суровоста врз животните е само еден од нив. Мораме да стремиме да ја намалиме и спречиме несреќата секаде каде што можеме. Помошта на животните не е поважна, ниту помалку важна од помагањето на луѓето. Несреќите и патењето на животните и несреќите, патењето на луѓето се меѓусебно поврзани. Со векови наназад луѓето ја злоупотребуваат својата надмоќ врз останатите видови но и врз самите себеси: трговија со робови, етничко чистење, геноцид, злоставување на жени и деца, присилно искористување на детски работен труд...денес се чудиме како нешто од набројаното некогаш воопшто можело да се случува и тешки ни се некако за воочување и во сегашноста истите стереотипи, истата обесправеност и насилство, иста злоупотреба на моќ. Некогаш тоа биле "само Индијанци", "само Евреи", денес се тоа "само бездомници", "само хомосексуалци", "само животни". Животните немаат моќ на говор за да можат сами да се одбранат, затоа сме тука ние, кои сочувствуваме, да зборуваме и во нивно име и да ги браниме нивните права. Демократското општество својот напредок мора да го покажува и во односот кон животните и нивното право на живот, во склад со природата на нивниот вид.
There are many problems in the world that need to be addressed, and cruelty to animals is just one of them. We must strive to reduce and prevent the crash wherever we can. Helping animals is not more important or less important than helping people. Accidents and suffering of animals and accidents, the suffering of people are interconnected.
For centuries, people have misused their supremacy over other species but on themselves: trafficking in slaves, ethnic cleansing, genocide, maltreatment of women and children, forcible exploitation of child labor work ... we are now wondering as something of the enumerated ever in general it could have happened and we are somehow difficult to see in the present the same stereotypes, the same disadvantage and violence, the same abuse of power. Once they were "only Indians", "only Jews", today they are "just homeless", "only homosexuals", "only animals".
Animals do not have the power of speech to be able to defend themselves, therefore we are here, who we sympathize, to speak on their behalf, and to defend their rights. The democratic society must demonstrate its progress both in relation to the animal and their right to life, in accordance with the nature of their species.
