The sun also rises….
Another wonderful day begins with the East Tsaatan people. A cold, crisp morning dawns with reindeer quietly grazing outside our teepee.

A beautiful moment from our recent trek which not only showcased traditional Mongolian horsemanship but also will form part of a new documentary showcasing folks of a certain vintage undertaking some pretty cool adventures.
Jean Renaud is featured in this short clip taking about how he feels about finally, after 81 years of waiting, making his dream to ride in Mongolia with Mongolian horsemen come true!

Inspiration from:
"Call of the Wild"
-Robert William Service-
Have you wandered in the wilderness, the sagebrush desolation,
The bunch-grass levels where the cattle graze?
Have you whistled bits of rag-time at the end of all creation,
And learned to know the desert's little ways?
Have you camped upon the foothills, have you galloped o'er the ranges,
Have you roamed the arid sun-lands through and through?
Have you chummed up with the mesa? Do you know its moods and changes?
Then listen to the Wild -- it's calling you.
Honored to host the world's longest annual charity endurance adventure every year.. the Gobi Gallop. 700 km / 10 days...2 horses per rider. Amazing experience and the major fundraiser for our partner, Veloo Foundation. Come join us and make your ride mean something!
So here’s a moment…
Our Senior Guide, Sumbee, watching a local Naadam on Blue Wolf, a horse bought on the Blue Wolf Totem Expedition last year by an Expeditionist - later sold at auction to the fabulous Betsy Cooksey (who also rode the 3649 km Blue Wolf Totem Expedition )then gifted him to another young Expeditionist with the proviso that he stay with us and be used to help Veloo Foundation with their summer camp programme for disadvantaged youth-something we are very proud to be a part of!
He is riding in the 10th Anniversary Gobi Gallop ’Mongolian Comfort Saddle’ which was sold at auction after this years’s Gobi Gallop to…. Gobi Galloper, BetsyCooksey (again!!) who in turn gifted it to our Head Guide , Baagii. Such generosity and kindness really is moving …and doesn’t that saddle look wonderful on Blue!?
This set up is being used by Baagii’s son Zulaa who is the head guide for our signature Naadam trek this year and we met Sumbee at the Naadam as he had a horse in this race …but not one to ride 🙂 so he borrowed Zulaa’s horse to watch the start of the 28 km race.
Come ride with us and become part of this wonderful family!

Some Naadam racers ‘cooling off’ their horses after the finish of the race…honestly.
