Rabbits are highly reliant on their gut bacteria to maintain normal health and digestion.
Their gut movement also relies on a high fibre content being present in the diet. Sometimes their normal digestive function needs some support which is why we have developed Fibreplex paste and Pro-Fibre pellets for rabbits to help restore the natural balance of bacteria and avoid the problems associated with lack of dietary fibre.

If you notice your rabbit has a loss of appetite, it could be that something has upset your fluffy friend’s tummy.

Rabbits are highly sensitive to imbalances in their gut bacteria, called dysbiosis, which can cause loss of appetite, discomfort and even gut stasis. We examine some of the things which can upset your bunny’s tummy and show you how to avoid a trip to the vet.

Rabbits are sensitive creatures and gut problems can be caused by stress as a result of fear of predators including dogs, cats or passing foxes. Even an over exuberant puppy can worry a rabbit through a fence. Rabbits don’t like loud noises such as garden machinery or fireworks so be mindful and move their hutch to a quieter place if necessary.

Rabbits are social animals, but being housed with another rabbit suddenly can cause stress. Likewise, losing a companion can be upsetting for them too. So keep an eye out for clues that your rabbit is suffering from dysbiosis.

Pro-Fibre advanced supports your dog's normal digestive function and gastrointestinal immunity. It's best given once daily, but if your animal is unwilling to take the whole amount in one go then the dose can be split between two meals throughout the day.
It should be mixed with ambient food rather than hot food to avoid killing the beneficial bacteria (probiotic) it contains. It's also best to leave the pellets whole but if your pet is a bit fussy then they can be lightly crushed.
