Company Description
Happy Paws Animal Clinic is a non-profit NGO running a Professional veterinary clinic located in Marsa, Malta. Our organization is dedicated to providing subsidized neutering services to caretakers of stray animals, promoting stray dog/cat adoption, as well as catering for private pets. We are operated by a team of professionals and volunteers and fund our operations through charity shops, sponsorships, and donations. Our goal is to control stray animal overpopulation and prevent the unnecessary euthanasia of adoptable animals.

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role as a Veterinary Nurse/Technician at Happy Paws Animal Clinic. As a Veterinary Nurse/Technician, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to animal care. This includes assisting in surgeries, administering medications, performing diagnostic tests, monitoring patients, providing nursing care, and educating pet owners. Your dedication and passion for animal welfare will contribute to our mission of providing quality veterinary care to stray animals, private pets and promoting responsible pet ownership.

Qualifications
• Previous experience as a Veterinary Nurse/Technician
• Knowledge of veterinary procedures and protocols
• Understanding of animal behavior and welfare
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
• Valid certification or license as a Veterinary Nurse/Technician
• Passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing high-quality care
• Reception work and taking appointments
• Cleaning and sterilizing instruments and surgery
• Preferably Maltese speaking
