The MCTs provide an alternative energy source for the 🧠. Purina studies have shown that healthy senior dogs fed a diet containing MCTs made fewer errors on cognitive tests πŸ“Š with improvement in memory beginning within 2 weeks.

Managing excess weight in pets is vital for their health.
Studies show that overweight or obese pets do not live as long as their leaner counterparts. Obesity is also associated with chronic inflammation in the body, which contributes to diseases such as osteoarthritis and diabetesβ€”but weight loss can help improve these adverse weight-related conditions.

Myxomatous Mitral Valve Degeneration (MMVD) is the most common heart problem in dogs 🐢🩺
With every heartbeat, the abnormal valve allows blood to leak backward, or regurgitate, into the left atrium. This condition stresses the heart and may progress to heart failure β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή
The highest incidence of MMVD occurs in older, small- to medium-sized dogs weighing less than 20 kilograms πŸ“ˆ
Discovering how metabolic pathways are altered in DMVD is an important step in understanding the cellular mechanisms that damage the mitral valve.

Did you know that the heart ❀️ can beat more than a billion times during the life of a dog or cat 🐢🐱
With a continuous workload, the healthy heart has a higher resting energy metabolism than any other organ in the body. Many nutrients are needed to keep the heart pumping efficiently πŸ’ͺ beat after beat.
