Starting our day off with gratitude 🙏

CLAWS, on behalf of our resident and fostered cats would like to thank all donors for enabling us to continue taking care of our rescues.

With vouchers obtained through BCRS, Kwiksave and Nestlé Collect schemes we are able to purchase much needed supplies such as food, litter and medicine to keep our shelter running.

We understand that it might not always be possible for our followers to give monetary donations, so we truly appreciate the donation of these items towards our cause. Still no home for Lucy 💔💔

Lucy has continued to settle since our previous post. She is an amazingly sweet girl who just needs a committed owner who can give her a forever home.

We believe that in the right home, she will be a great companion. Lucy would best be adopted as an only cat and without small kids.

📣📣 MORNING SHIFTS VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - WEEKDAYS 📣📣

We are urgently looking for dedicated individuals who love cats and can spare a few hours during weekdays (mornings or early afternoon). Ideally, who can commit to helping out once a week.

Duties will involve basic cleaning of cages and litters, bedding and other similar duties as required.

We are struggling to cover all days of the week and any help possible would be greatly appreciated.

Training will be provided.

Meet India 🥰🥰

India is a young girl who has been successfully treated for FIP and has done a full recovery.

She is ready to join her forever home. India has been neutered, microchipped, dewormed, deflead, and tested negative to Fiv/Felv.

India is now about 9/10 months old, she's super sweet and friendly and would make a perfect addition to most households.

She loves company of other cats as well as people. We wish to find her a good and loving home where she will be loved and cared for, as should ❤️

Latest rescues 💔💔

Yesterday, we were contacted to help take in 3 small kittens, which were found by a kind feeder in a colony of adult neutered cats, with no mum in sight.

These 3 kittens were famished and devoured the food we offered to them. We could not refuse them, seeing they could not fend for themselves and required medical attention. They are going to be vet checked, and we will be starting their treatment as we suspect they have a fungal infection.

Please help us by donating a small amount to our organisation. We are struggling to keep up with the ongoing costs of food, vets.

Meet Rosie 🥰❤️

Rosie is a beautiful young girl, waiting to join her forever home ❤️

Rosie has been rescued from a colony and taken in for neutering. She is super friendly, and we strongly believe she was in a home prior as she settled in super fast with her fosterer.

Rosie has been neutered, deflead, dewormed, and microchipped. She is less than a year old and would make a great companion for someone looking to adopt a young and playful cat.

Meet Lucy ❤️

Lucy is a 4 yr old Scottish fold mix, neutered and microchipped.
Lucy was rehomed by her first owner but unfortunately the people they entrusted her to, broke their promise to look after her and within a few days, Lucy ended up in a 3rd home, totally confused and oblivious to what was going on 💔. The owner reached out for help to try and take her back, and rehomed through reliable channels.

We suspect the people who adopted her wanted to mate her as she was rehomed without yet being neutered. They failed to realise however that Lucy was suffering from pyometra and was in pain. Pyometra is a serious and potentially life-threatening infection of the uterus that causes it to fill with bacteria and pus. This happens when a cat goes through empty heat cycles and is not spayed.

One of our volunteers reached out to help and after a group effort to try and locate her, she took Lucy in her care. Lucy was taken to a vet, and she was eventually spayed. Her pyometra was confirmed, and we are happy to say that she has now made a full recovery.

Lucy has been in our care for about 5 weeks now. The first couple of weeks were very difficult as Lucy was traumatised from the whole experience. She was not trusting at all, and it took a lot of time for her to start putting her guard down.

We are looking for a committed and responsible individual to adopt Lucy and give her the home she deserves. Lucy came from a single cat household, and we believe she would be happier adopted on her own. Potentially, in the future, she could get used to living with another cat. However, we feel it would be too stressful for her to go through that now.

Lucy is a very independent girl. She will show you when she wants attention, and her new owner needs to understand her boundaries. She is extremely playful and enjoys her playtime chasing a ball or a small toy.

Once she starts trusting, she is the sweetest cat ever. However, we need the new owner to understand that this will happen gradually.

A quiet home without small kids would be recommended. Lucy has also been tested for FIV/FELV, and she is negative to both.

Dusty, Crane and Brick 🏗

A few weeks ago we were alerted to the presence of these 3 kittens in a construction site. Thanks to a joint effort these kittens were trapped and are currently in foster care where they have been vet checked and assessed. These kittens, 10 weeks old, 2 females and 1 male, are calm purring machines and are now ready for adoption.

Meet Sandy ❤️ 🥰❤️🥰

Sandy is a 2-3 yr old girl who is currently waiting to be adopted.

Sandy has been fostered in a home with one of our kind volunteers. Throughout her time with us, we have noticed that Sandy gets on great with female owners, and she prefers to be an only cat in the house.

We have tried introducing her with other cats, but she is scared of them. Hence, we wish to find Sandy a quiet home as an only cat. Ideally, without small kids or other pets.

Sandy is neutered, deflead, dewormed, and fiv/felv negative. She would be a lovely companion to a female owner, perhaps someone who is looking for a chilled out young cat for company.

Help Toffee ❤️❤️❤️

This is Toffee, one of our current fostered kittens who has been in our care for a few months now, awaiting to undergo surgery to try and repair his right eye.

Toffee suffered from a fused eyelid which was preventing him from opening his eye normally. He now underwent his first surgery and is now recovering.

Toffee will most likely be needing another surgery soon as he has a condition called entroprian where his eyelashes grow inwards into his eye and brush against his eyeball. This can cause ulcers in his eye and damage it permanently.

Meet Marley ❤️❤️

Marley was abandoned in a colony of neutered cats in Qawra a week ago. He was crying and screaming for help. The feeder was out on her daily feeding routine and heard him immediately. She reached out to us for help, and luckily, one of our kind fosterers was available to help.

Marley was in good health, clean and very friendly. He started to settle in as soon as he started to feel safe indoors. We strongly condemn such acts of abandonment, and we urge anyone who is unable to look after kittens to get his/her cats neutered. Abandoning a kitten is never the solution to the problem.

Marley has been vet checked, deflead, dewormed, and got his first vaccine. He is about 9 weeks old.

He loves company, hence we are hoping to find him a nice family, ideally one that already has another young cat at home to adopt him.
