Hello friends ❤️🙏🏼 The world needs your acts of kindness. The last 2 years during Christmas we have collected money, gifts and food for a single mother and her 2 children who are asylum seekers living in Malta.. and this year we are going to do it again!! ❤️

They have had it tough and it makes the children’s Christmas (and year) having food and presents delivered to their house on Christmas Eve. The children’s wishlists are below (presents don’t necessarily have to be from the wishlists).

Money can be donated on my revolut 0035699669760 by writing Christmas Donation and your name with your donation.
A card listing all the people that helped will be given to the family and every person that donated will receive photos after the delivery is complete including receipts of the items bought. If you feel like you can contribute in any way, no matter how small, please get in touch.

✨ Meet Tinsel ✨

This tiny tricolour was rescued just in time for Christmas 🎄 after being found alone as a kitten in a parking lot belonging to private offices. There are other cats in the area, all neutered but Tinsel was new to the small colony and needed help 💔🐱

Some of the workers from the offices are also the feeders, who regularly take care of this colony and had been trying to rescue Tinsel to keep her safe 💕🐾

We named her Tinsel and she’s around 9 weeks old. She may already be neutered, as she has a notch on her left ear 👂🐱 She’s a little scared at the moment...which is completely understandable... but once we gain her trust and Tinsel is able to decompress after everything she's been through, she will surely blossom 🤗 She loves other cats 🐈🐈‍⬛, so her ideal forever home would be one that already has feline friends 🏠❤️

This is Agatha ❤️

In Summer, Agatha was rescued from the streets while pregnant, scared and unsure... yet she did everything right. Safe at the shelter, she gave birth to 6 beautiful kittens and became the most devoted little mama. She protected them, nurtured them and watched as each one of her babies found a loving home.

But when the last kitten left… Agatha was left behind. Despite her sweetness and her adorable face, no one asked to adopt her too.

Agatha is only around 1.5years old, now neutered and has already given so much love in her short life. She was an incredible mother, gentle and patient with her kittens and she deserves that same kindness in return 🥹

Shelter life can be overwhelming for a shy girl like Agatha. With all the noise and constant change, it’s hard for her to show her true personality. In a calm, quiet home with routine, stability & patience, she may finally be able to relax, feel safe and just be Agatha!

Oh Clementine 🤍🩶

Another heartbreaking goodbye in just one month at our cattery 💔

Clementine was rescued from the busy streets of Bugibba five years ago. At first, she struggled to settle in, keeping her distance and observing from afar. But with time, patience and love, she slowly began to trust...coming forward for food, observing us closely and sometimes even joining in playtime with the team using her favourite string toys.

It all happened so suddenly...Just the day before, she was out for food, watching us and checking in on us as she always did. Then, last Thursday, our hearts broke when we found Clementine withdrawn and unresponsive. One of our volunteers rushed her to the vet, where we received the devastating news...she was suffering from lymphoma. There was no hope for recovery and with heavy hearts, following the vet’s guidance, we made the painful decision to let her go peacefully.

Fly high, sweet Clementine 🤍 You mattered. You were loved. We hope you felt safe, cherished and never alone at our cattery ❤️

It is devastating that so many adult cats spend their lives overlooked in shelters. While nothing can replace a real home, here at Claws they are loved every single day. We spend time with them, comfort them and make sure they always know their lives matter ❤️

Sooty needs a home asap 🖤

This sweet, endlessly loving boy is around 11 years old and diabetic and yet, people keep overlooking him 💔 A little care shouldn’t stop anyone from giving love!

Right now, Sooty lives in 1 room with very little human interaction something he desperately craves...He shouldn’t have to spend another year without feeling the warmth and comfort of a loving home.

Rescued from the streets almost 2 year ago, Sooty has survived so much already. Giving him his daily medication is easy... just bribe him with a little food and he’s happy as can be 🥹

Let’s not let him be ignored. He deserves to spend his golden years surrounded by love.

His diabetes is undee control and recent bloodwork indicate he is in great health ❤️

✨ Zappi’s Journey...A Story of Hope ✨

Yes, this story is a bit long to read but it’s worth it 🙂

Zappi is an 8 year old cat whose life changed suddenly after the tragic loss of his owner. In the midst of heartbreak, he and her other cats were taken in by a caring family member who did everything possible to support them. When circumstances became too difficult, help was sought to find loving new homes for the cats.

In just 1 year, Zappi moved 4 times. He left the only home he had ever known, then stayed with the family member and later was adopted into what became his third home but he struggled to settle in.

Yet through every change, Zappi held on. He stayed gentle. He stayed hopeful. And his post continued to be shared, again and again.

Then came the moment that changed everything. Zappi was welcomed into a new home as the only cat and from the very first moments, the connection was instant and undeniable 🥹 In this 4th home, Zappi finally found what he had been searching for: a place where he could feel safe, cherished and completely at ease.

Being older and missing a paw never stopped him from living fully... but it did mean that some people overlooked him. Still, Zappi waited. And the right person found him.

After a year of uncertainty and moving, Zappi is now exactly where he is meant to be, in a home filled with love, comfort and the promise of forever.

We share Zappi’s journey with the full consent of everyone involved, not to dramatise but to remind others that hope matters. Compassion matters. And sometimes, the most meaningful stories are the ones shaped by patience, cooperation and faith in the ones who can’t speak for themselves.

Because in the end, we do not choose cats… cats choose us.
