As the temperature rises and the days get longer, it’s time to start getting your dog ready for summer 🥵🔥 At Tat-Tarġa, we want to make sure your dog stays happy, healthy and safe during the warmest months of the year. Check out our top tips 👇

🚰 Hydration is key: Keep fresh water available at all times, especially during outdoor activities.

☀️ Protect from the sun: Dogs can get sunburned too! Limit your dog’s exposure to sunlight, apply pet-safe sunscreen, avoid hot surfaces like sand to protect your dog’s paws and make sure your home is a cool shelter from the heat.

🏖️ Provide shade: If you’re spending time outdoors, create shady spots for your dog to rest in using umbrellas, canopies or trees.

🐕 Groom regularly: Keep your dog’s coat trimmed and well-groomed to prevent overheating. Brushing regularly also removes fur and keeps your dog comfortable.

🦟 Prevent parasites: Keep your dog protected with regular flea and tick prevention, and consider using mosquito repellents approved for pets.
