🎉 Acupuncture Success Story – Meet Chuckie! 🎉

Chuckie, an 11-year-old dog, was presented to us with sudden onset paralysis just a month ago. When Dr. Teresa first saw him, he couldn’t even pass stools and had completely lost the ability to walk. After being referred by another vet, we immediately started Acupuncture and Electroacupuncture treatment.

Fast forward a month of consistent care along with physiotherapy with Physiovetathome - last Friday, we finally had a breakthrough - Chuckie stood up! Over the weekend, he even started walking again! 🙌 While his gait isn’t 100% back to normal yet, the progress is incredible, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to see him on his feet!

We’ve had the pleasure of meeting some amazing pets recently! 😻🐶

Dr. Teresa had a wonderful visit with Sky, Rio, Mia, Cole, and Max—five shy cats who were initially unsure of her. But with some patience and a few tasty treats, they all warmed up and came running for attention by the end of the visit! 🐾💕

Meanwhile, Dr. Andrew met Aiko Jethro, a playful Shiba Inu puppy, for a vaccination visit. Even after the jab, Aiko’s tail kept wagging, proving that nothing can stop that puppy joy! 🐕❤️

Dr. Teresa Gatt is a dedicated small animal veterinarian with over 15 years of experience, specializing in pain management and acupuncture. She’s UK certified in veterinary acupuncture (western approach) and has passed the USA IVAS certificate exam in veterinary acupuncture, based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr. Teresa is currently pursuing certifications in pain management and TCM food therapy to further enhance her integrative care for her patients. She also offers laser therapy, and electroacupuncture treatments to help pets live pain-free. In addition to her clinical work, she has been an elected member of the Veterinary Surgeons’ Council of Malta since 2013. She enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, daughter, and their beloved dog, Sundae, and cat, Mochi.
