Didi is a UK certified pet sitter and cat behaviourist (ICVAS UK) and has been offering cat care services since 2016. Being a certified cat behaviourist and having met with various cat breeds along the years, Didi has a very good understanding of cat behaviour and characteristics and has given valuable advice on territorial issues, anxiety, soiling amongst other behavioural issues. This morning I woke up to the sad news that the fur baby of a dear friend had crossed the rainbow bridge. Sweet Licia was a special cat that needed regular medical care. But she was very fortunate to have been showered with love and affection by her dedicated mum, till she took her last breath.

I will always treasure the times I cared for you and your late brother Rokku. I'm sure he was waiting for you over the rainbow. (Incidentally rainbow pic was taken this afternoon)

Fly high sweet Licia, you will always have a special place in my heart ❤️

In Japan, a designing company decided to do something unusual.

Instead of keeping cats out of the office, they invited them in. 😺 At Qnote Inc., cats aren’t kept as mascots or for show. They move freely through the workspace, sit beside employees, and have become part of daily office life.

It started in 2004, when the company adopted a stray cat named Futaba. Over the years, more cats joined, and the office slowly adapted around them, not the other way around.

Employees say the cats reduce stress, improve mood, and make long workdays easier to handle. The company even credits this environment for better teamwork and lower burnout.

In a culture known for long hours and pressure, this office chose calm over control. Sometimes, a better workplace doesn’t need more rules, just a few quiet paws walking by. 🐈🐈

Our first kitty sitting of 2026 😺 Wenzu and Tipsy ❤️ We have been sitting for these two kitties for the last couple of years. Wenzu is super shy and reserved whilst Tipsy is a little Tasmanian devil 😹 Owners were worried that she would not tolerate anyone in her territory, and that Wenzu would just stay in hiding. However whenever we go, they are happy to see us and enjoy their treats and food ☺️

As the year comes to an end I want to thank you for your continued support 🙏 I am truly grateful for the connections and friendships I have made through the services that I have been providing to cat owners over the past 10 years.

This year was particularly heartbreaking as I had to say goodbye to three of my furry babies - baby Blu, my dear Fessuda and little Buxu 💔 every one of these sweet angels will always hold a special place in my heart ❤️

If like me you will be spending the start of the New Year with your furry babies, I wish you a lovely cozy evening. May 2026 bring you lots of purrs, unconditional love, good health and many blessings Didi x

People that know me know that I am a crazy cat lady, befriending every cat that crosses my path! I am the proud cat mama of three lovely house cats, and feeder for a colony of strays that call my terrace their home :) Over the past couple of years I have had the pleasure of offering boarding services for cats, as well as small caged animals (e.g. guinea pigs and dwarf rabbits), small caged birds (e.g. canaries and budgies) and small reptiles (e.g. turtles and tortoises).
