Didi is a certified pet sitter and cat behaviourist (ICVAS UK) and has been offering cat boarding services since 2016. Cats are not kept in cages and are free to roam around in the home, just like they would in the comfort of their own home. They will be in the company of three friendly cats as well as any other guests. This is very beneficial to cats, especially ones that are the only pet in the

house, as it helps them interact with their own kind and improve their social skills. They will also have practically 24/7 human interaction, so they can never feel alone or abandoned. Of course every cat is unique and we have come across cats that do not like to interact with other cats, or humans. In that case the cat can choose to stay in a room which is equipped with a large cat tree and plenty of hideouts for privacy :)

Cats would need to be fully vaccinated, neutered and have been given flea / worming treatment. Being a certified cat behaviourist and having met with various cat breeds along the years, Didi has a very good understanding of cat behaviour and characteristics and has given valuable advice on territorial issues, anxiety, fear amongst other issues. Most feline behavioural problems are caused by misunderstandings between humans and cats and both can live in harmony if we learn to understand cats. We do not offer boarding for dogs however we offer dog walking and house sitting (for dogs and cats) in Naxxar and surrounding areas. The last three cats that joined the clan enjoying some relax time together ❤️ Buxu, the tabby boy is very shy and reserved and usually prefers to stay on his own. Tux, the black blob on the side is pretty friendly with the other cats. Whilst Pablo, the chunky ginger boy in the middle has been with the clan for the past year or so, but he still tends to fight with them every now and then.

So this was a very special moment which I'm glad I captured ❤️

As most of you know, I get very attached to the kitties that I care for. So it's very heartbreaking when the time comes to say goodbye.

Gigio & Kiki, two lovely non bio brothers, are off on an adventure today as they are leaving Malta to start a new life with their lovely family in another country.

I welcomed Gigio (tabby) into my home two years ago, and we immediately formed a bond. He is the most chilled, loving, sweet kitty that just follows you around for company just like a dog. He is also super friendly with the other kitties, in fact he and Pepper would often sleep together ❤️

Kiki (cream) is just over a year old, and he joined Gigio on his stays from when he was just a small kitten. He is also a very sweet boy that loves high spots and cat trees ❤️

I have lots of lovely memories with Gigio & Kiki, which I will always treasure, but I know that they have a beautiful family that loves them dearly and will always take care of them ❤️

Safe travels sweeties and may you have a wonderful life in your new home ❤️ ###

Ho ho ho! 🎅🎅🎅

It's that time of the year again where cat owners start to think up of every way to save their Christmas decorations from becoming victims of their cats attacks 😸 Here are a few tips I'd like to share with you so that you can have a Meowy Christmas too!

⭐⭐⭐ Christmas Trees 🎄🎄🎄
To avoid encouraging your cats to play with your fragile and potentially hazardous decorations (especially if they shatter into pieces), keep your lights and ornaments tied up close to the Christmas tree branches, not dangling loosely. Another word for “dangling shiny thing” is “cat toy”. Also, to deter cats away from the tree, you can use dried orange/ lemon rings and hang them on the lower branches of the tree like ornaments, as in the picture below. You can also buy ready made scented sticks. For extra curious cats, a motion detected cat deterrent spray can be placed near the tree and sprays air whenever the cat goes past. (product picture below)

⭐⭐⭐Holiday Plants🪴🪴
Beware that many holiday plants (including holly, mistletoe, poinsettia) are toxic to cats. Go for the artificial options instead.

⭐⭐⭐Candles 🕯️🕯️
Remember to always monitor open flames like candles or fireplaces. As cats can either swat a candle over, or accidentally light their tails on fire when they walk by. Also scented candles could cause respiratory issues in some breeds, so always ensure that they are only used for a short period of time.

⭐⭐⭐Chocolates, Hampers & Gifts 🍫🍫
Chocolate can be lethal to cats so be sure to keep a close eye on your treats to make sure they don’t fall into the wrong hands (or paws!) Hampers that are wrapped in plastic and gifts with ribbon, should be kept out of reach to avoid cats chewing on them.

⭐⭐⭐Don’t Forget 🤔🤔
Turn off your tree and other lights, put out your candles and incense when you can’t supervise.

Unsociable cats at Christmas - If your cats are shy and dont like being around people, move their cushions, scratcher/ tunnels and litter to a place where they wont be disturbed so they can feel safe.

You can also spray calming solutions like Valerian to your kitty’s bedding to help them relax. Remember to give them extra attention when the guests leave ❤️
