Didi is a certified pet sitter and cat behaviourist (ICVAS UK) and has been offering cat boarding services since 2016. Cats are not kept in cages and are free to roam around in the home, just like they would in the comfort of their own home. They will be in the company of three friendly cats as well as any other guests. This is very beneficial to cats, especially ones that are the only pet in the

house, as it helps them interact with their own kind and improve their social skills. They will also have practically 24/7 human interaction, so they can never feel alone or abandoned. Of course every cat is unique and we have come across cats that do not like to interact with other cats, or humans. In that case the cat can choose to stay in a room which is equipped with a large cat tree and plenty of hideouts for privacy :)

Cats would need to be fully vaccinated, neutered and have been given flea / worming treatment. Being a certified cat behaviourist and having met with various cat breeds along the years, Didi has a very good understanding of cat behaviour and characteristics and has given valuable advice on territorial issues, anxiety, fear amongst other issues. Most feline behavioural problems are caused by misunderstandings between humans and cats and both can live in harmony if we learn to understand cats. We do not offer boarding for dogs however we offer dog walking and house sitting (for dogs and cats) in Naxxar and surrounding areas. My sweet boy Pejxu suffers from chronic gingivitis. He got a flare up recently and wasn't eating a lot over the last two weeks. When I took him for his dental check up it resulted that he needed three extractions, as they were possibly the cause of his inflammation 😞

Thankfully he is eating more now, and doesn't seem to be in pain, but he is still on meds, so hopefully he will be back to his happy self soon 🤞❤️

Good morning peeps 😊 Following my post regarding the closure of my boarding services, I just wanted to confirm that we are still providing house visits to residents of Naxxar and parts of Mosta and Gharghur.

We thrive on giving the owners peace of mind by providing them with a reliable service and regular updates.

Pearl’s journey hasn’t been an easy one, as she has sadly been abandoned twice 🥺 Despite her tough past, this beautiful 5-year-old crossbreed Persian, still has so much love to give. She’s currently fostered by a kindly lady, where she’s showing just how sweet and snuggly she can be. Once Pearl warms up to you, she’ll melt your heart with her endless cuddles and gentle nature 🥰

Pearl is neutered, deflead, and dewormed. She’s looking for a calm and loving home where she can feel safe and cherished. Pearl would thrive either as the only pet or with one other cat, as she loves attention and companionship.

January 6, is the feast of the Epiphany. This day is celebrated amongst Christians in Europe, mainly in Italy, Greece and Romania and it's a cherished tradition that marks the conclusion of the festive season. This day is steeped in religious significance, folklore, and family customs. The Befana (witch in Italian) is the symbol of the Epiphany, and with her of course is the black cat. Here is the fable of the Befana's cat 🐈‍⬛🧙‍♀️🐈‍⬛🧙‍♀️ Once upon a time, all cats were tabby, only one was black: he was the Befana's and accompanied her on her long journeys; riding on her broomstick, he saw wonderful places, but always from above. The cat sometimes wondered what life was like for humans: when the Epiphany period ended, he lived a kind of hibernation and slept with the witch all year long waiting for January 6th. One night, the cat, on his journey around the world with the old woman, leaned out to try to see the world more closely, the sack was open and a gift flew away. After a while, the witch noticed: "Never had such a mistake happened in thousands of years of travel!" The cat was silent, but the old woman was magical and said: "Old cat, it was you, I am not angry... life has been boring and lonely with me. But this child must be given something: you will go and be his gift!" So the cat went down a chimney and when he arrived in the large hall he began to cough because of the ash and the family looked at him in amazement, but the child shouted with joy: "How nice, a friend all for me!" And the parents did not have the courage to separate them. And from that day on the cats were no longer just tabby cats, because, thanks to that gift, there were black cats.
