Things went quickly from making the decision and we were even more keen to arrive since Maria's mum – a resident for the past 15 years, started to have health problems. We offer the highest quality Dog and Cat Grooming based from Marsaskala but available much more widely around Malta. We lived in the county of Dorset in the South West of England where Maria, the highest qualified groomer in the region (link to certificates), has a marvelous reputation and loyal client base. Our mission is to replicate this business model in Malta. We love to give the best care for dogs and cats, provide education and advice and of course, excellent grooms for your pets. This way, as in Dorset, England we will soon have a loyal list of clients that we hope to also know as friends. Maria is able to offer her expert knowledge to work with the client to get the correct cut for your beloved dogs and beautiful cats. A clip off to breed standard – and she is also offering an introductory session for all puppies, so that they get used to the grooming environment and the tools and process as a free complimentary service. Maria is a qualified Professional Dog Stylist, having completed courses in both City & Guilds Level 2 and Level 3 Introduction to Dog Grooming in 2010 and 2011. Maria went on to take her practical exams in front of some of the top groomers in the UK, during 2011. She is also a qualified lecturer and has delivered many City & Guilds level courses with many students going on to successful dog grooming careers of their own. We have grown a successful grooming business, run from a purpose built salon, in a rural area of West Dorset, United Kingdom. Even though we lived in a small village of less than 150 homes and over 10 miles to the nearest large town we had a large client base. We have been involved in many different pet organisations, including helping and undertaking sponsored dog walks for local charities. Maria also gives informational talks to new Puppy owners at local Dog Training Schools, to help new dog owners to be aware of the importance of grooming their dogs and keeping on top of their coats. Over the past decade we have attended many shows. The biggest event being the television stars Martin Clunes' Buckham Fair held on the 3rd Sunday of August, on Martin Clunes’ own estate in West Dorset. Maria and her team, have been ‘Groomers on the Field’ for several years, grooming dogs that visit this MASSIVE Dog and Pony show and raising in excess €225.00 each time, which is donated to the Fair’s Charity of the year.
