Company Profile
Valle is a Maltese company whose main line of business is processing, marketing and wholesaling of locally bred chicken. The company whose first operations date back to 1996 was set up with the ambitious aim of producing the best quality chicken on the island. Indeed, it did. It only took the company a couple of years to invest in a new modern chicken processing plant, which contributed to its market growth. The processing plant was recently extended and renovated to the highest modern standards.
Valle is the only company that traces and controls its final product from the very initial stages of the process. Hence, its sister company, Toplayer Company Limited hatches the eggs and sells the chicks to specially chosen farms, which are continually monitored and inspected by the veterinary services and Valle’s management. Once, the broilers have grown, the maltese farmers sell them to Valle.
Every early morning Valle receives a consignment of broilers, which immediately upon are inspected by its personnel and by the veterinary inspectors from the Food Veterinary Regulation Division. The broilers are then slaughtered and processed in the company’s processing plant which is fully automated and processes up to 1,000 birds an hour. The whole process is controlled by the company’s 20 fully trained hardworking employees who are in possession of food safety certificates. Hygiene at all times is the company’s top priority and indeed it spends time, resources and money to keep up to the highest standards. In this regard, a Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) system, which is a state-of-the-art approach to food safety, has been specifically studied and adopted by the company in accordance with EU Regulations.
