🧨 Firecrackers = Noise Stress: Keep pets indoors and provide a cozy, quiet space. Loud noises can cause anxiety and panic.

🍬 Sweets & Treats: Chocolate, mithai, and other festive treats can be toxic for pets. Only give pet-safe treats.

🍭 Decor & Diyas: Keep candles, lamps, and rangoli powders out of reach — curious paws can get burned or ingest harmful substances.

✅ Stay Hydrated & Calm: Ensure your pet has fresh water and a safe space to relax if celebrations get overwhelming.

🐈 Is your cat expecting kittens? Here’s what to know about pregnancy in cats

A cat’s pregnancy lasts around 63-65 days, and while changes can be subtle at first, here’s what you may notice:

𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀

🐾 Ni***es become more visible and pinker early on.

🐾 Gradual weight gain as pregnancy progresses.

🐾 Mammary glands filling closer to birth.

𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀

🐾 Nesting instincts appear, usually in the last 2 weeks.

🐾 Your cat may search for quiet, safe, and dark spaces.

👉 Tip: Provide a cardboard box with soft, safe bedding to help her feel secure.

𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀

During pregnancy, a cats nutritional requirements increase to 1.5x her normal level - and even 2x by weaning. Small, frequent meals of food formulated for pregnant or nursing cats (or kittens) will support her and her growing family.

From 1 October 2025, all dogs must be microchipped & registered with the MSAW under the Animal Welfare Act.

👉 Bring:

• NIC/Passport copy

• Proof of address (utility bill)

• Your dog 🐶

📌 Already microchipped? Just visit MSAW with your dog to complete registration & get your Certificate.

🐕‍🦺 Microchipping = Safe ID
A tiny chip under your dog’s skin links to your contact details. It’s not GPS, but ensures your pet can be reunited with you if lost.
