Patient of the week 🩺
This young spotted eagle owl was rescued after being sold at the roadside. She was brought to our clinic where x-rays showed she had a broken wing. Our team were able to stabilise her and wildlife vet Hezy performed surgery to repair the fracture by placing a pin to hold the bone fragments together. The owl who has been named Xena survived the surgery and is now undergoing rehabilitation in her new aviary. We are hopeful she will make a full recovery and can be released to a suitable location in the future🤞

Everyone meet Thor! Thor was found as a stray after being hit by a car. We had to treat his painful wounds every day for the first few months, so it took a time for him to fully trust us..
But now he is a very sweet boy who just loves attention from people. He has recently been introduced to the shelter pack and has already made friends, he is especially good with the young puppies.
Thor is looking to find his forever home at last❤️

Patient of the week 🩺
Shumba is our latest paralysis case and has been with us for over a month now. He first presented very weak, dehydrated and completely unable to use any of his legs. We started him on intensive fluid therapy in the beginning until he began to eat on his own.
His recovery was slow but within time and lots of physiotherapy he began to put weight down on first his front legs and soon stood on his own without assistance.
It was a very happy day at the clinic when Shumba took his first steps and at this time he is now finally walking again!❤️

Gus and Felix are looking for a home together❤️
Gus has been in the shelter after she was a patient in the clinic. Felix was adopted as a very young puppy but sadly returned to us through no fault of his own. Both are under 6 months of age and we are really hoping they won’t grow up in a shelter. They are soo playful together and with people would benefit from an active household to continue their training and socialising.
If interested in adoption please get in touch!

Patient of the week 🩺
Lilly was attacked under a fence by another dog and her poor face and jaw was badly damaged. X-rays showed her upper jaw was fractured and she was struggling to breathe properly through all the blood in her nose.
After stabilising, she was taken for surgery where our vets were able to align the jaw and repair by placing a wire to hold the fracture together.
This amazing girl began eating as soon as she woke up from anaesthesia and after a weeks stay in our hospital, she was able to go home again😊
