Shelter Cat Tuesday 🐱 Meet Rescue Sisters Kay & Jete! 🐾

These two beautiful girls were rescued separately, but they found each other in the shelter and formed an incredible bond over the past year. 💛

They spend their days sunbathing side by side and love nothing more than cuddling up with their favourite humans. They truly are inseparable.

They were all set to go to a loving home together, but sadly, that adoption fell through — through no fault of their own. 💔

Now, we’re back on the lookout for a family who can give both Kay and Jete the forever home they deserve, together. After everything they’ve been through, they truly deserve a lifetime of love, comfort, and companionship.

📩 If you’re interested in adopting this bonded pair, please get in touch — let’s find them the happy ending they’ve been waiting for.

🐾 Shelter Dog Monday 🐶 Meet Sheba!

This sweet girl has been through a lot. Sheba was sadly abandoned into our care through no fault of her own. She arrived with a painful injury to her back leg that required regular bandage changes to treat a serious infection. Her previous owners couldn’t keep up with the care she needed- so we stepped in to give her a second chance.
Unfortunately in the end we had to amputate her leg to give her back a good quality of life where she won’t be in any pain

💉 The great news? Sheba adapted so well to three legs and it hasn’t changed her a bit!!

She is incredibly loving, gentle, and affectionate with people. At just around 1 year old, she’s got her whole life ahead of her, and we know the right home is out there waiting.

🏠 Could that be yours?

📩 If you’re interested in giving Sheba the loving home she deserves, please get in touch with us!

We’re so excited to share that we’ve begun animal welfare lessons in schools across Malawi! 🐾

Our amazing Animal Welfare Officers are visiting primary schools throughout Blantyre to teach children about different animals and the Five Freedoms — the essential needs that ensure animals’ health and wellbeing.

If you don’t already know, the Five Freedoms are:
1️⃣ Freedom from hunger and thirst
2️⃣ Freedom from discomfort
3️⃣ Freedom from pain, injury, and disease
4️⃣ Freedom to express normal behaviour
5️⃣ Freedom from fear and distress

Through this early education, we hope to inspire a positive shift in how animals are viewed and treated — encouraging compassion and a healthy relationship with both pets and wildlife.

It’s an incredible start, and we’re already receiving wonderful feedback from students who are eager to learn more about how they can care for animals! ❤️🐶🐔🐘

🐾 Shelter Dog Monday 🐶

This week, we’re celebrating some of the incredible adoption stories from the past month - because every rescue deserves a happy ending! 💕

✨ Tiger, who was rescued after being hit by a car and bravely underwent a leg amputation, has found her forever home- and a new best friend in her doggy brother, Milo! ❤️

✨ Duchess and Wh**ey, once scared strays rescued separately, were adopted together by a loving family who’s giving them all the care and patience they need. 🐕🐕💕

✨ And finally, Gus, our sweet pup who grew up in the shelter and waited over a year for his chance, was adopted along with Jojo, one of our newest rescues. We can’t wait to hear how these two are doing in their new home! 🐾

These beautiful stories are why we do what we do.. giving animals a second chance at life, love, and happiness. 🐶🐱

🐾 Shelter Cat Tuesday: Meet Carla 🐾

Carla came to us with a badly broken leg. Sadly, by the time she arrived, it was too late to save it, and we had to make the tough decision to amputate.

But don’t worry—Carla hasn’t let that slow her down one bit! Just a few weeks later, she’s fully recovered and zooming around like a pro, living her best three-legged life. 🐈‍⬛💨

She’s the sweetest girl with so much love to give. Carla adores people and would make the perfect snuggle companion.

If you’re looking for a loving feline friend, Carla is ready to bring joy into your life. 💛

🐶 Shelter Dog Monday 🐶

Poor Max has had no interest from any potential adopters.. we know he might not be the best looking, but he makes up for it with a lot of love❤️❤️

You may remember the story of Max - the little puppy who was left with a badly broken jaw for over a month. After undergoing surgery and receiving the care he needed, Max is now growing into a happy, loving boy. 💛

His jaw will never be perfectly aligned, but it doesn’t slow him down one bit — he eats well, plays happily, and gets along great with other dogs.

Max is now ready for his forever home. 🏡
If you’re interested in adopting this sweet soul, please get in touch!

Say hello to Jojo, our brave little rescue pup! 💛

Just 8 weeks old, Jojo was found abandoned and terrified on the streets. When he first arrived, he was so frightened he wouldn’t let anyone near him. But with time, love, and gentle care, Jojo has started to come out of his shell and learn that people can be kind. 🐾

He’s still got a journey ahead of him, but he’s already showing us how strong and resilient he is. Jojo has now finished his vaccinations and is ready to find a calm, patient home where he can continue to grow in confidence and be showered with the love he’s always deserved. ❤️

Interested in giving Jojo a forever home?
Please get in touch — we’d love to hear from you!

🐶 Shelter Dog Monday – Meet Duchess! 🐾

Say hello to Duchess, one of the most playful and loveable dogs at our shelter! 💕
She was found last year and, despite our efforts, no owner ever came forward. From day one, Duchess showed her sweet nature—friendly, affectionate, and always up for making new friends (both human and canine!).

This cheeky girl has tons of energy and a big personality. She thrives on playtime and cuddles, so she’d be a perfect match for an active owner who can keep her busy and loved. 🐕💨

Ready to give Duchess the forever home she deserves?
Get in touch today to learn more about adopting her!
